This morning we went to Johnson Farms for the Fimmen Annual Pumpkin Patch Outing. It was dreary, old and misting the entire time we were there but it was so much fun! Our family got their early and walked around the play and animal area. The girls had so much fun doing the hay maze, playing in the sand bus, sliding down the slides and teaching Abby all the animal noises (especially while watching the itty bitty piglets run around their pen). The rest of the crew (Grama, Papa and the Horton's) joined us about an hour after we got there. We played on the huge play structure with Kate and then after watching the pig races (they were awesome) we went on a hayride out to the pattch.
Muddy, muddy and muddy sums up our time in the patch. But we hunted down some good pumpkins; the girls each picked 3 and I picked a couple for our front porch. I just love hunting for pumpkins :) After a good hour in the patch we headed back for the kids to jump on the orange "pillow" and then called it a day.
After the farm we went out to eat at Snead's BBQ just a couple streets north of the patch. We have been wanting to try it for some time and we are sure glad we did. Super yummy beans and burnt ends :) YUMMMMMMMMMMMM!
Enjoy the pictures!
Ashley was on a mission to find and hug all the scarecrows :)
Loving the animals!
Pumpkin doughnuts- yummmm!
