One week old
Happy one week old Abby!
*She is a quick and efficient nurser. If there is an eating schedule it's nurse 2 1/2 to 3 hours, then 2 1/2 to 3 hours later, then 2 hours, then 1 hour and then repeat. She has followed this eating pattern since my milk came in Saturday.
*She is sleeping great. The last four nights she has slept 6-7 hours, woken to feed and then slept 4-5 more hours before she is up for a couple hours in the morning. She usually has awake times from 7:30-9:30, 11:30-1:30, 4-6, and 8-9.
*She is an extremely calm, laid back and chill baby. I hope I am still saying this a month from now.....
*She is a "poop machine" (that's what cousin Tom nicknamed her) and we are always changing diapers... ALWAYS! At least when she poops it's loud so we can change them before they start bothering her too much. She does get fussy if we haven't noticed a poopy in her diaper after a while.
*She lifts her head from left to right during tummy time and has scooted 6 inches on her belly.
*She has held her head up for a couple of second when being held. She even held her head up for a little bit the day she was born.
*She makes the newborn squeaks and purrs. She was a quiet sleeper at first but it slowly making more noise as she sleeps.
*She loves being swaddled. It calms her immediately.
*She loves being patted on her bottom.
*She is entertained by her big sisters. She calms down when she hears their voices and loves it when they hold/play with her.
*She loves sleeping in her newborn napper, in our arms as we rest, by our side on the couch or in bed as we rest, or sleeping in the bouncer. She doesn't seem to mind the pack n play for sleeping either.
*The clogged tear duct has gone away; or at least I think it has :)
She is just so sweet. I hope every week is like this week!
Much Love,
Jenny
PS I am officially caught up on the blog :) That will last an hour... :)
