While waiting for another cousin to arrive, the boys headed to check out Perry's Monument...
The girls went shopping...
Once the cousins arrived we rented golf carts for 2 hours to explore the island!
Our first stop- Ohio State Fish Hatchery. We did a 10 minute stop here, checking out all the fish of the Lake Erie region.
Then onto the Lake Erie Islands Visitor and Wildlife Center where we stopped for a quick photo op!
We had snacks on the golf cart... they girls learned how to drink pringles :)
Stopped by an "amusement center" for a photo op and to cut a geode in half. The geode was from South America but it was still cool to see what was inside of a rock!
In exploring Put in Bay, Ashley found her house :)
Our last stop on the golf cart was at Perry's Monument. Here we walked into and around the monument, and got to see someone shoot a musket gun while explaining what the battle of 1812 would have looked like on the island. Then we hit up the visitors center to find pout a little more about the monument...
As we were walking to lunch at Frosty's in the pouring rain, Abby feel asleep and slept most of lunch. Frosty's is a cool memory to revisit since I remember coming here with my Grandma.
And then we headed back to Gipa Larry's trailer via the ferry!
