Soccer is here!!!!!

This weekend marked the start of Spring soccer. Anna was more then excited to get dressed in her yellow jersey from the Fall and go play. She did a good job in warm up; she even worked with daddy on some pretty high level skills that she still needs work on but was fun.

And when the game started, she was on the same side of the field as one of her best preschool friends Lucy. They got to play together multiple times and during those times they were glued together at the hip. Not kidding. They were holding hands whenever the ball wasn't in play. These two were both so smiley. Not sure if they were more happy to be playing soccer or to be together :)

But outside of hand holding with one of her besties throughout the game and being told to stop being a chatterbox by the coach who is her friends dad, she did great for her first game of the season. Anna said she had a blast and LOVES soccer more then anything else she does. She just wishes she would have scored. We told her she can score and probably will soon; she just has to run with the ball and be a little more aggressive.

Yes, hand holding is part of soccer! (I wish I would have gotten a better picture but there they are, holding hands and chatting the game away!!!)
