Yesterday amidst all the outside playing, we managed to squeeze in some family Easter Egg dyeing. The girls had a blast but mommy was a little stressed out and am considering doing it separately with each child next year. It was just too chaotic to manage three kids who were super excited about it (especially a certain 22 month old who demanded every inch of my attention in drawing "hot dog" mickey mouse and "Duck" Daisy Duck and her older 5 1/2 year old sister who felt the need to get the most eggs colored in the fastest world record time ever).
But once we got all the kinks worked out and settled after a heart to heart we had a blast! And we only knocked two glasses of dye over (brilliant for doing it outside I tell ya!)
The finished products are beautiful; even though we may have more cracked and dyed eggs that I have ever seen. It is okay to eat the egg whites when they are red and orange, right?!?!?!
Abby is so much in love with her "hot dog" Mickey Mouse egg and her "Duck" egg. She really was hilarious to watch in action. Totally soaking up the moment.
And of course we had to make monsters our of out eggs and decorate them all with stickers!!!
SO PROUD
The finished products :) Monsters, Elmo, Frozen, Princess, Rainbow and Spring.
