This month will forever be known as the birth of the school aged child. Yup, added to her everyday lingo are words like poop, dumb and stupid in place of others. And let me tell you this thrills her mama.
Obnoxious school aged behavior has also started like spitting, drooling on purpose, not listening (or listening and just thinking it's funny for us to have to say things 3 or 4 times before she stops) and having so much energy she can't control it!
And on top of these new words is the birth of Anna's desire to be around her friends all the time. Between preschool friend playdates and the new found neighbor girls, Anna is turning into one social butterfly. This makes me excited for her that she is making new friends but it is also hard for me to let her go. I just have to hope that the last 5 1/2 years we have done our job and that she has a strong backbone, will choose what's right and will, overall everything, be nice.
Man this growing up stuff is hard on momma! Luckily overall we have a pretty SWELL kid :)
