Bubble Free

It's official!

Ashley passed her deep end test today! She swam the entire length of the pool all by herself without touching the pool. I knew she could do it!

This morning during breakfast she told me she would do the deep end test so I told her if she did we would celebrate with a doughnut. So when we got to swim lesson I told Coach Angi that Ashley wanted to try it and if she felt that Ashley was ready for it to try it. So they did.

First she had her jump in the deep end and swim to her halfway. Then on the swim to the ladder Ashley swallowed water and had a little meltdown and said she didn't want to do the deep end test. So Coach Angi said that it was ok but she did have to jump and swim to her one more time from the deep end. So she did.

And since she was swimming so well to coach Angi, Coach Angi kept taking steps back until Ashley finished swimming the entire length of the pool. She was so excited and proud of herself. "Mommy I made it to the stairs!!!!!"

So she is officially bubble free during play time :) Way to go Ash Ash! You have come so far in 6 1/2 months of lessons!
