Ash Ash's First soccer game

In between the get togethers with the grandparents yesterday, Ashley had her first EVER soccer game. And she did great. She will play every Sunday for the next 2 months at 2:45.

When we got to the game we found out that not only was she the yellow team (like Anna) but her team name was the bumblebees (like Anna's killer bees) and she was #10. Both Anna and Ashley just couldn't believe that they were both yellow and bees!

She had been telling us all weekend that when she plays soccer she was going to "kick the ball!" And super excited to finally be the player and not the watcher, Ashley jumped at the opportunity to kick around her soccer ball. When asked which member of the family she'd like to warm up with she didn't think twice, Daddy!!!!!!!

Shortly after she warmed up with Daddy, Coach Joseph rallied the team and they did 30 minutes of drills as a group. She was really focused and seem to really enjoy it. After the drills they played a 4 on 4 30 minute game. And that game just happened to be against a team of 6 boys. So yes, you could imagine what that game looked like.

But Ashley did a great job. She ran with the pack and as the game went on she actually ran up to the ball several times and kicked it.
