ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Two weeks ago we joined in the phenomenon sweeping Facebook Nation; the ALS Ice bucket Challenge Fundraiser. Not only did all 5 of us participated but we also donated.

Anna was nominated by her friend Kendall and couldn't wait to the the challenge. She had loved watching everyone on Facebook do theirs so she was pumped. She in turn nominated her friend Lainey, cousin Kate and Ashley. Ashley did not want to do it so she passed the nomination onto me. We filled the bucket with ice and Daddy slowly poured it on her head!!!! She looked up at us, ran away from the pouring water screaming and said, "it's refreshing!" When I asked her if she liked it and wanted to do it again, here was her response!

During Anna's ice bucket challenge Ashley changed her mind and asked Anna to nominate her instead of me. So Anna did. Ashley then nominated her dance friend Lucy (Anna's preschol friend), her friend that lives far, far away that she hasn't met yet, Abby and Mommy. We filled the water bucket up with ice, poured it on Ashley's head. And JUST when we thought she was going to cry and punch up in the face, she looks up, smiles and giggles. This child surprises me all the time :)

Here the girls are soaked and running around the yard with Daddy!!!! The next day I accepted the challenged and delivered, nominating Rob who gladly participated right after me. It was nice to do this in the hot summer months!!!
