Frozen Camp
Last week the girls participated in Frozen Camp with their friend Lucy from Anna's preschool class at Trilogy Cultural Center in Olathe and had a BLAST. Did I mention they had a blast? They are still talking about it and how much fun they have. And they have turned into QUITE the stage actresses :) It will be interesting watching them grow and choose their activities because these girls have not tried anything they haven't LOVED. Which makes it so much fun!!!
They participated in camp M-F from 9-12 and then ended the week with a performance on the big stage. They were both "snowballs" and were in the songs Frozen Heart, Do you Wanna Build a Snowman and Let it Go. Both girls favrotie part of the performance- Being on the stage with the big girls!!! Ashley was mostly big girl star struck and watched them most of the time during her time on stage; but during the finale she sang like she had never sang before (even during Elsa's solo- no one was going to tell me daughter she wasn't Elsa) :)
They loved the week of fun and participated in Crazy hair day, dress as a princess day, wear blue day and dress rehearsal day. Their favorite activity outside of dancing and singing to their favorite Frozen songs was playing the game Freeze Dance. They played Freeze Dance most of the days, which was a good thing since Ashley was really upset about the rules they played by. See at home we just freeze and no on gets out; there is no winner. Well at camp if you moved during the freeze part you got out and had to watch the others. Miss Ashley wasn't having this and talked about it the entire rest of day on the first day of camp to me and Anna. When I went to drop her off on Tuesday she then pointed out the girl that won the previous day. She saw the girl walking in and said, "Mommy, that's the girl that won." I had no clue what she was talking about but she filled me in. I asked her if she was going to win today and she said yes. Sure enough my Ashley was a winner that day :)
Then after the performance we went out for pizza. Yum.
