Anna's First Soccer Game as a Killer Bee!

This morning Anna had her first soccer game of the season; the first soccer game of her life!!! She woke up talking about it and couldn't wait for the game :) She is on the yellow team this year and she is #3. She even got her names on the back of her shirt in glitter letters :)

So this morning we decided to walk the 2 miles there and left super early and planned to get there early enough for Kate's game. Unfortunately we only caught 10 minutes of Kate's game but at least we got to see her play a bit! Way to go Kate :)

Anna's game was broken into two sections; 20 minutes of skill practice and 32 minute of play time. Each girl played 4 - 4 minute time slots with a break in between. At the beginning the coach asked them if they wanted to be the Bumblebees and none of the girls wanted that name. They looked at him and said, "No, we are the KILLER Bees!!!!" So the Killer bees we are :)

Anna did great! She got more and more aggressive as the game went on and after seeing her team mates score probably 10 goals while she was on the field she was ready to join the goal club. And she did!!!! He friend Lucy kicked the ball and then Anna kicked it in, scoring her first ever goal. She was ecstatic!

Later I asked her what her favorite part of soccer was and she smiled and said, "Winning. And scoring the goal!" Yup, she may be more and more like her mommy then we thought :)

Way to go Anna Banana! You rocked that #3 :)
