Zoo

Cousin Leland is in town and Sunday started our week of exploring Kansas City and all the stuff they have to do with kids!

Our first stop.... the zoo!!!!

We did the normal thing; visited the polar bear, tigers, monkeys, elephants, and rode the train and the carousel. But we did do/ see a couple things that we haven't done/seen in the past. Halfway through out time there mommy's camera broke so we did not get pictures of #1 and #2. Bummer!

1. We rode the carousel as a family- all 5 of us (and Grammy)! Anna rode the horse, Ashley a puppy dog, Daddy and lady bug and Mommy and Abby the giraffe. It was pretty cool!

2. Went into the bird cage with Daddy and Poppy and we actually got to feed the birds. One of the birds landed on Daddy's arm and was eating out of his cup while another landed on Anna's head. Anna didn't know what to think about the bird being on her head and although she remained calm until it flew off her head, she wanted to get out of the bird area as soon as possible.

3. We ate dippin dots (one of mommy's favorite zoo snacks as a kid).

4. We actually saw the tiger sitting up. Every time we have visited the tigers are sleeping in the shade. It was pretty cool (and stinky!)

5. Mommy breastfeed baby Abby in the polar bear house. After 20 minutes of feeding and watching all about polar bear videos twice, she knows all the cool facts about polar bears!

6. It was Abby's first time to the zoo. She pretty much slept through it all (except for the elephants!!!)

We had so much fun!
