We were so excited to go there on Thursday; we kept talking about our trip and spent most of the day packing up clothes, games, movies, toys, books, you name it and we tried to pack it! As we were driving there Thursday after naps mommy reminded us that we were going on a trip to Grammy and Poppy's and that she would not be there in the morning when we woke up since she was going on an airplane to see Daddy. She told us about how we would get to play with them and how we would be sleeping in pack n plays. Anna very quickly corrected Mommy and said, "Mommy, I not sleeping in pack an play. I am sleeping in the big girl bed in the playroom." Sure enough, Anna slept every night in the big girl bed and loved every second of it. As for napping, that's another story......
We kept telling mommy how excited we were to be going to Grammy and Poppy's and when we got there we had so much energy! We played in the now empty purple room where Ashley slept, climbed in and out of our pack n plays and got Anna's big girl bed ready to sleep in (Mommy propped a pack n play by it's side so Anna wouldn't fall off the side of the bed). We had so much fun!
And the fun continued the next day when we woke up with mommy gone. We were sad at first that mommy wasn't the one we woke up to in the morning but we got over it pretty quickly. We played all day with Grammy and continued playing that evening with Poppy. They took us to the zoo on Saturday, played inside and outside, went on a walk, watched movies, read tons of books, ate good food and had so much fun.
We missed Mommy and Daddy and every time we talked to them we'd let them know. Anna would tell them, "Mommy and Daddy I miss you very, very, very much!" We were both very excited to see mommy and daddy the next day because we missed them the most.
Thanks again Grammy and Poppy; we had a blast!
