"Reading"

Read, read, read. This child loves to read. This morning she told Daddy she just wanted to read in her room and 30 minutes later, she had "read" 8 different books to herself. She just follows along with the pictures and tells her own story (pretty aligned with how she has heard us read that same story to her). My favorite is when she asks Ashley if she wants to listen to Anna read. And of course, Ashley usually does (with a book of her own in her hands of course!) So many times I find her snuggled in a chair reading the day away. And boy does it also rub off on Ashley!

I have noticed that Anna can "read," or should I say recognize the following words so far: Anna, Ashley, Mommy, Daddy, Bunny, Bear, Yes, No, Peanut, Get Out, Kate, Baby, cat and dog. So much fun!
