It may have been that the girls were up late the night before (close to 10) or the fact that they were running low garde fevers and had a horrible cough. But whatever the reason, we didn't get out of bed until 9 am. And then after the excitement of Santa gifts and after eating my homemade donuts it was close to 10:30 before we even opened stockings and the familt gifts. It was so nice to have a no-rush Christmas morning.
So when they finally woke, they were all smiles!!!!! Abby had no clue what the expect but the excitement of her sisters easily wiped off onto her.
Presents from Santa- Anna saw Abby's in the box and said "Wow, Santa must have gotten that at Costco." And then went on with her merry little present opening. Note to SANTA- please next year take presents out of boxes!!!
Rob and I surprised the girls with "hand built by Daddy and painted by Mommy desks." Their reaction was priceless. Ashley walked into the "art room" to get scissors to open their Santa presents and she just stood there in awe. Anna joined her seconds later, then Abby. They ran in and found their desk and couldn't believe they even got new markers!!!! The girls couldn't believe Santa brought them these and were so excited! I couldn't let him get the credit and they were amazed that their Dad could build something like this.
The girls were overly happy with their gift from Santa- EXACTLY what they wanted!!! Looks like they were good little girls indeed :)
Candy always gets these girls going!
Shopkins from Peanut!
There were so mauy sister hugs passed around that morning; so sweet!
