Homework is legit this year. Lots of work on phonics, letters, numbers and reading. Anna gets a packet on Friday and it's due the next Friday. It usually takes close to 2 hours total for Anna to finish her weekly packet and we do a good job breaking it into 4 or 5 20-30 minute homework sessions during the week when Abby is sleeping. When she completes it on time, she gets to pick something from the treasure chest.
So far she doesn't complain much about it but does not like the additional coloring required. And mommy agrees..... they add in a lot of busy work by having you color things in when a simply x would do fine. But we have to follow directions :)
