Black Friday

After we got the kids to bed, we headed out on our family Black Friday shopping tradition. Not excited at all about the early store openings but we headed out around 8:45 to hit up some shops. Rob didn't seem to mind and he went to bed in a quiet house by 9 (his Thanksgiving wish!!) while my dad, mom, sister and I had some fun scoping out the deals until 2:15 am. I didn't find much or anything but it was fun to be out and about with the family.

Then on the actual Black Friday, my sister and I headed out to a handful of stores from 9-10:30 while my girls played at Grama and Papa's house. We then continued the new tradition from last year of going out to eat at Spin Pizza for lunch with Gigi and Uncle Bob. It was fabulous.

Then after that I had promised the girls to take them to one store on Black Friday to shop and get ideas on what to get each other for Christmas and they chose Toys R Us. Grama, Aunt Anne and Kate joined us in the minivan for our shopping adventure. They had only been there once or twice before and were completely in awe of the store. Needless to say, 1 1/2 hours later we leave empty handed but with lots of ideas!

Then we ended the day with a surprise arrival of Daddy getting home at 2:30 (!!!!!) and a Horton Happy Hour before heading out the to Arboretum. What a fun, fun day!
