For her birthday, I was asked to come in a read a book to the class (which we donated to the classroom) and got to watch the first 10 minutes of their school day. When the day began Anna got to reach into the birthday bin and pick out a birthday bandana (and she picked Strawberry Shortcake!) and then she got to put on her very own birthday hat. She was the first birthday of the year so all the kids were very excited and curious with what was going on. Anna was beaming she was so excited.
She also got to be the line leader that day and loved sharing her birthday treats (which she told me that day that she LOVED them- she must have seen all her friends like them!)
