Anna Blood Drawn

While we were in Charleston, Anna found blood in her urine. A culture was taken, confirmed blood in the urine but not trace of a UTI. so we underwent further bloodwork. Tests eventually came back normal but the process of getting Anna's blood was quite dramatic.

First, when we entered the room she went crazy. As in yelling at us saying no way was she going to do this....

Secondly when we finally got her to sit on my lap and calm down she was crazy tense.

And then while the blood was getting taken out she started laughing since she couldn't feel it at all- the nurse had her holding a wobbly thing and had "froze" the spot where the blood was taken.

A minute after it was done, Anna faints on me for 5 seconds, wakes up for 10 and then faints again. The nurses get her feet up high and her face turns light green.yellow.  She wakes us, turns over and starts talking and then vomits. It was so scary. Nurses and doctors from the ER came down for a code and stayed until she appeared to be getting better.

Poor poor thing. eventually after goldfish and juice she was wheeled out in her wheel chair and brought home for a relaxing afternoon while sissies finished the day at school.
