Aruba Day 3
Day 3 was spent exploring Arikok National Park on our own in our Jeep 4x4. Adventure we had!!!!
Aro Rock formations was something not on our radar but we happened to stumble upon it and decided to check it out. Glad we did; we felt like the Flintstones (well I guess I did... the girls didn't know who they were!)
Ancient drawings in caves...
This is Aruba....
To the natural pools!!!! It appears that everyone usually goes on chartered tours of this area with a tour guide....... But not the Stilleys- here comes the Stilley's party of 5 on Family Vacation!!!!!!
It was a fun and bumpy road (one that Abby and Ashley LOVED) and we may have been having a little too much fun with the bumping over the rocks because as we were 100 feet away from the parking lot and large blast happened.....
While daddy fixed the flat tire (with the help of some locals) we sat and enjoyed the views.
Found some pretty cool red dotted rocks!
These natural pools (conch) are usually calm enough to swim in. Today that wasn't the case for us.... but it was still pretty!
The hike along the northern coast....
The low point of the trip.... made it all the way along the coast for our picnic lunch. Realized we forget half the lunch bags in the car. So we ate chicken salad with our water bottle straw...... And the girls made us sand desserts....
These waves/undertow were much to strong to swim in but it was fun playing race the waves!!!!
Local made Aruba Lollipops!
Wild Goats
Arikok National Park Visitor Center
Driving through the park....
Rob wanted to park here.... I laughed. We already had one flat tire due to a rock- no way were we going to park in a parking lot made of rocks!!!!!
My favorite sign in Aruba.....
Afternoon at the pool
Grocery Shopping with my helper...
Homemade pasta dinner at the place
Trying Dutch sweets with our night night milk.....
What a day!
