We are starting December off right!

With tonight being the last day of November and with all of us in the holiday spirit, we decided to go do the one thing I wanted to do last December but never got to... South OP's magic tree!!!!

Seriously.... it was amazing. I want Rob to do this to our front tree. We wouldn't need lights on inside at night; this baby would light the whole block!!!! So pretty!

Then we continued along 143rd street to get to Deanna Rose to watch their interactive holiday light display. The girls loved it so much we probably will be back again before the season ends :)

The cook

At her most recent visit to the library, Anna picked up 2 kids cookbooks. She found a recipe for pad Thai so this past Sunday we gave it a try.

She had so much fun cooking for us even though I did most of the stir fry. She was a little disappointed in the pad Thai because she said it didn't taste like the restaraunt. So she ate potstickers instead.

As a good critic it wasn't the worst pad Thai but it wasn't the best. I thought it was pretty good for her first attempt and told her we will find the best Pad Thai recipe ever for her to cook. She smiled.

I love that she loves to eat and cook. Hopefully some mommy and daughter cooking dinners will start taking form. 

 

 

 

 

 

Half birthday girl

Today was Abbys half birthday. And she was EXCITED!!!!

While Ashley was at a play date we made the traditional half birthday cake. She ate Mac and cheese for dinner, ate her yummy cake after we sang and then we all played her favorite game, duck duck goose. What a fun night for Abby.

Guess who's back?

After almost 2 weeks apart, they were reunited tonight!

 

And you might be wondering where bankey was??? In the basement of the Harper's house!

So glad to have bankey back!!!

Girls trees are up!

Yesterday we got the girls trees up; one in their office and the other in the bedroom. These three crack me up. They literally can get lost in their imagination with anything! After sorting their ornaments, we somehow managed to get them all up on the tree :)
