The first week at Mammy and Poppy's was spent playing outside (it was beautiful out), playing with Henry and Frances a couple of times, playing down stairs in the ball room, playing in the play room, playing with Tom, Meghan and Matt (they were in town and came over to see us), reading lots of books and doing lots of puzzles. Anna also had fun doing a sticker book and fell in love with "Mingo" and Ashley learned to play the harmonica all by herself! We both slept great at night. Anna took naps about half the days and for the most part Ashley took 2 naps a day.

During the second week with Mom and Papa we pretty much did the same thing. Played outside (it got hot- like in the 80's and we were pretty much running around in short sleeves and diapers since mommy packed TOO hot of clothes!), played with Kate every weekday, helped Papa seed the grass, helped Papa build a birdhouse, watched a lot of March Madness, played puzzles and read lots of books (I got a new snake and robot book), and Anna even got to go out to eat with Kate and Aunt Anne. Kate and Aunt Anne took Anna to Mickey D's (that's apparently what they call Mc Donalds) and she was so confused. We walked into Mickey D's and she kept asking "Where's Mickey Mouse?!?!" She thought they were going to Mickey's!!! Ashley learned to say Duck and quack. Anna even figured out to ride the trike bike and pedal all by herself! Anna took naps most of the days and Ashley took 2 naps a day. Mom even took a picture of us:
We were really excited to see mommy and daddy when they got home. They came into our rooms when we woke up in the morning and we both were really confused but got so excited once we realized they were really here! Anna kept saying, "My Mommy and My Daddy!" Ashley just kept giving hugs and kisses. Mommy and daddy said it was like Christmas morning seeing us! Anna was nervous that Daddy was going to work that day and got so happy when she realized he was playing all day at home with us! When we got home, oh we missed home, we had so much fun playing with all our toys. After 2 weeks of not playing with them they were like new to us! And our beds.... WOW did we take good naps! We really missed our beds!
We are so happy that mommy and daddy are home and had such a great time with our grandparents! Thanks Mammy, Poppy, Mom and Papa!
