Troop Tryouts
Anna had Troop tryouts 2 weeks ago and we are happy to say she made troop again this year! She is now a memeber of the "DIVA" troop and is over the moon excited to get back to dance this week,
Ashley was also asked to join the Apprentice troop (Anna's old troop). Ms. Marilyn did not ask them to try out since she has just the right amount of girls wanting to do it. Ashley can not wait to do a competition and to dance 2 numbers at the recital. She starts in 2 weeks and can't wait to do JAZZ!!!!!!!!!

Dental Follow Up
Last week Ashley had a follow up to see if it is time to take out her fake tooth. Luckily everything looks good and their is no need to take it out just yet :)
Daisy Summer Get Together
Last Wednesday night we had a Diay summer get together at Mia's house. An evening of canoeing (it was awesome), trampoline, basketball and BBQ was so much fun!

Swim Team
Swim team started this past Tuesday and so far so good!!!!
Anna started on Tuesday and due to Ashley's ear she didn't start until Wednesday.
Anna started off in the small pool working on strokes but halfway through the second practice got moved over to join 7 other "big" kids including Kate. She was pumped!!!!! Anna is working super hard at her strokes and diving.
Ashley started a day late due to her ear. Her first practice was hard. First, she was nervous about her ear. Secondly, it was cold. Thirdly, she wanted to just be by me. Luckily the coachs daughter jumped in the pool and took Ashley under her wing. Her first practice ended awesome and she was ready for more! Only took 2 days of this for Ashley to be completely comfortable and she even swam the entire length doing freestyle at Fridays practice. Way to go Ash Ash! She is the shortest (and possible youngest) on the team and is so darn cute!
Should be a fun summer of swim team. First meet is this Wednesday!
Anna and Kate; Anna and Anna Schiebel
SO COLD!
So cold she needed hot chocolate to warm her up!

Ashley's Ear
Two Tuesdays ago, Ashley woke up with a bloddly ear and blood on her pillow.
What we thought was a burst pimple mixed with swimmers ear turned out to be something else. So the day after we went to the care clinic Ashley had a low grade fever all day and bloody ooze was still coming out of her ear.
Fearful that the emds weren't working we got into her doctor that evening to have her take a look at it. Needless to say the doctor couldn't see into the ear canal there was so much infection and blood.
She disagnosed Ashley with a ruptured eardrum (even though she couldn't comfirm it) and put her on amoxicillan. Lucky for us the next morning it was so much better and the fevers were gone!

Earier this week (a week after it had all happened) we went back to get it checked by her doctor. Her doctor had originaly told us to wait 3 weeks before coming back but this little girl was wanting to swim!!!!! And I am glad we went back.
The doctor looked at her ear twice. The first time she saw a teeny, tiny hole in her ear drum and the second time she saw nothing. She told us that Ashley has no limitations and she is allowed to swim; she just wouldn't reccommend swimming in a dirty lake. To be on the safe side, the doctor reccommended wax ear plugs and a swim cap for when she is swimming.
This made her day (and mine!) Turns out taking the yucky medicine (it was a struggle the first 2 or 3 days to get her to take it) paid off :)
