Animal Noises

I love animals and I love the sounds they make!

On the drive home from Dallas, mommy taught me new animal sounds. It was so much fun!

If mommy asks me what:

a cow says, I say "Muuu"
a penguin says, I say "aight aight aight" in a really high pitched voice
a lamb or lambie says, I say "Baaaa" (I am just starting to do this one)

Before the trip, I could already tell you what:
a lion says, I say "roar"
a doggie or brother says, I pant like a dog
a fishie says, I make a fishie sound by brushing my lips with my hand while humming
a monkey says, I say "ha ha ha"
a squirrel says "ekkk"

Here I am looking for squirrels!

I can't wait to learn more!

Anna

30 weeks plus a couple...

A little late on the update... but no fear- Big Momma is doing and feeling great. Just a little backache that my hubby can cure with a little massage!

Baby Ashley is moving around more then I EVER remember Anna doing and she is one strong kicker and puncher. She kicks and punches me at the same time on opposite sides of my belly- it is CRAZY! She also kicks my upper stomach so hard that I fear that my boobs might someday soon hit me in the face- they do bounce when she kicks in the right spot- it's AMAZING! Sometimes she is moving around so much that I kind of get a sick to my stomach..... But keep kicking little girl- I like knowing that you are active!

I see the doctor on Monday for my 31 week appointment. After that I think I have another appointment 3 weeks later and then weekly starting at week 36. These prenatal visits are so different then they were with Anna (for those of you who don't remember, we were watching my cervix VERY closely.... mentioning my cervix again was for you Colleen!) But anyways, it is weird not being poked and prodded at every time I see a doctor but I am feeling good. Getting a little nervous because at week 35 I was put on bed rest with Anna because I had already starting thinning a little too quickly... but then again, she never did come naturally- I had to be induced!

My body feels huge. Every part of my body... even my little toe. I have never been this heavy and possibly have 10 weeks to go (fingers crossed that it is at least 7 more!) My belly doesn't feel massively larger then it was with Anna, just my entire body does. And it just makes keeping up with the stairs, Anna and Rob very hard and tiring. But it's worth it for my baby girl :)

Will post picture soon- haven't taken it since I was in Texas this past week. For those who really want to see me, just imagine me bigger then week 28 picture that I posted to weeks ago... add about an inch bigger to everywhere! :)

Crazy to think that our family of 4 will be a family of 5 very soon. For those of you that are trying to find the 5th, I am talking about Peanut. Can't wait to hold Baby Ashley- just simply excited! The feelings of fear and anxiousness over the unknowns of parenthood that I had this time when I was expecting Anna aren't here with this one... it makes the whole pregnancy experience different this time around... I have so much faith in Rob and I as parents that I know we are going to do just as great with Ashley!

Much Love,
Jenny

My Body

I am not sure if I have told you, but I love my body!

Mommy will ask me where certain body parts are and I can find so many! Here are the ones I found MANY times on the ride home from Texas today!

Toes
Feet
Knees
Hands
Fingers
Head
Hair
Ears
Mouth (I never point to this- I just open it REALLY big!)
Tongue (I never point to this- I just stick it out REALLY big!)
Belly
Belly Button

Here's a picture of my favorite body part!

Mommy says we are going to work on eyes and nose! I can find mommy's nose, but have a REALLY hard time finding mine!

Fort Worth

We just got back from visiting cousins Tom, Meghan and Matt down in Fort Worth and had so much fun! We played, played and played!!!And I LOVE their dogs Bailey and Boomer! I could not get enough of them and LOVED riding on them like horses. They are the best cuddlers!

When we first got to their house we got to meet Baby Matt for the first time..... and I wasn't too sure about Baby Matt. Mommy sat down to hold him and I couldn't believe my eyes!!!!!!!!! Mommy is supposed to hold me! So, I started crying horribly until mommy held me. Once I calmed down, she tried to hold both me and Matt but I didn't like that idea and I pushed him away and tried to hit him but mommy intervened. I even squeezed his toes a little too hard and cried. It's my mommy! The next day, I still wasn't fond of the little guy but by day three, I was patting his toes nicely and giving his forehead kisses. I kind of like Baby Matt.... :)

I got to play with Tom and Meghan SO much! It was special because Meghan and I had time to play, just the two of us, one day when Tom was at preschool. I just love my older cousins- they taught me so much- especially how to be conductor for a real choo choo train, play golf and to trace my hands and feet on the magnadoodle. They wore me out so much that on my first day I took 2 hour and a half naps and slept AMAZING through the night. As for sleeping on the way home..... that didn't really happen much of the 8 1/2 hours.... I was having WAY to much fun with mommy :)

My cousins have the coolest stairs in their house.... and it is these stairs that I decided to go down 100% of the way ALL.BY.MYSELF!!! Mommy was so proud of me. By back to the stairs, there are four or five stairs that are free from a baby gate and I LOVED climbing up and down them SO much. I would climb up to the top and sit on the landing and just smile. I LOVED them, but mommy didn't really- she was SO nervous every time I got near them (which I guess she had every right to be because I did roll down them a couple of times- good thing she was there watching me so closely!)

I can't wait to see my Texas cousins again!

Love,
Anna

PS- Pictures will be posted soon. A lot were taken on Aunt Carolyn's camera and we're waiting on those pics to post!

Rockefeller Brookside :)

A week ago, mommy, daddy and I went to see the Christmas Tree lighting in Brookside. We got there just in time to score some good hot chocolate and cookies and to watch all the crazy BIG kids run around. Then after I learned something REALLY cool, like sitting down on the pavement, I would mimic them! And to top the fun of the night off, I even saw Santa Claus! When the Christmas tree was lit, the crowd counted down backwards from 10. I was watching the tree until everyone said "ONE" really loud and I turned around to watch everyone that I missed the tree turn on. But when I turned back around I saw it was lit and got very excited and started swaying back and forth to mommy and daddy singing "Oh Christmas Tree." I started pointing to other trees that I thought were Christmas trees and saying "Oh" but they didn't light up.... BUM deal :) We watched the lights for a little bit and then headed home.

I just LOVE Christmas time.

Anna

PS- Grandma's tree is bigger then this one :) Mommy thought that was pretty funny!!!

CHEERS!

I love my laughing and talking teapot and cups... they are so much fun! I love pouring the teapot into the cups and best of all, drinking from the cups like a grown-up. I even hold onto the handle! Just the other day, mommy showed me how to do "Cheers" and every time we play, I do Cheers! I even cheers-ed my teacup with daddy's beer last night! Hahaha!

Gi Gi's Visit

Gi Gi Fimmen has been here all week and I have gotten to spend a lot of time with her! You can even tell me to give something to Gi Gi and in a room full of people and I can find her! I just love her! She makes the best snicker doodles and bread- even though mommy said for every one piece I get, she gets 2! Tomorrow is her last day here in KC and I can't wait until she visits again.

Love,
Anna
