Smoky Mountain Road Trip- Eastern Part- Day 4

We woke up early Tuesday morning and drove the remaining 3 hours to the eastern part of the Smokies. After a quick stop at Chick-fil-a for lunch we made our 1:00 reservations at the river on time.

First activity in the Smokies- White River Rafting- Category 2.

They loved it and decided they want to try category 3 ASAP!!!

then we headed to our campsite and little did we know.... we were staying in North Carolina for the night!!!! A new state!!!!!

And then it started to rain....

We ponchoed up and went on a little hike around our campsite at Big Creek Campground.

The girls were troopers and when we had a break in the rain we set up camp and cooked dinner JUST in time to have dinner in our tent because the rain came back.....

And then the tent started leaking....... so we got creative and found a set up to where no one got wet. Not the most comfortable night sleep (also fearing for my life that food was dropped in the tent and that a black bear was going to attack us) but we made it DRY!
