We woke up in Boonville, MO so excited for the eclipse! It was clear all morning and then right at the beginning of the eclipse a cloud cover came and stayed for about 45 minutes. We could still see the sun through the clouds in our glasses but it was just fuzzy. After the clouds subsided we were able to see everything in complete clearness- from the diamond ring effect to the total eclipse all the way until the end. The girls thought it was pretty amazing and we were blown away but nature. So cool.
It was a blast!
These two pictures are almost exactly what it looked like when we took off our glasses during the 2 1/2 minutes of total exclipse. It was so surreal and cool that I forgot to attempt to take a picture!!!!!
SUCH a cool thing to be able to experience as a family. We would definitely do it again (besides that fact that we lost one of Ashleys shoes, a sock and our keys for an hour).
