Over 3 weeks ago the girls had their 3rd swim meet of the season. Anna was beyond thrilled to earn all the colors of the rainbow from this meet!!!!
And the results of swim meet #3 for the 8 and unders!
Anna
Free- 8th- 25.66 sec
Fly- 4th- 35.09
Medley Relay- 1st- 2:02.78
Breast- 5th- 47.03
Free Relay- 2nd- 1:57.07
Ashley
Free- 23rd- 36.68 sec
Medley Relay- DQed but did AMAZING in her breast stroke!
Back- 7th- 33.13
Breast- 3rd- 35.06
Free (she subbed in a swam with 9 and 10 year olds)- 2:03.32
This meet was a special one since Anna and Ashley went head to head (same heat) in the breaststroke. Ashley was on fire and swam her best in that stroke I have ever seen while Anna didn't; resulting in Ashley winning by 12 obvious seconds. Ashley came running up to Anna and said, "I knew I could beat you!!! YAY!" And then tears, and tears and more tears.... After about a 10 minute pep talk one mommy's lap, things were resolved. Let's just say Anna has been trying a little bit harder in the breaststroke since this!
