The Old Maid.
Yup. These girls (mostly Ashley and just recently Abby) are obsessed. They are always asking to play it, they play by themselves, with their dolls and they even made up their own deck of old maid cards.
At first the girls would get very upset if they got the Old Maid (mostly Ashley). To make them feel better I would tell them that the Old Maid wants friends and it is being nice to her to be her friend. So now the only card Ashley wants IS the Old Maid and cries when she DOESNT get her in the end. Oh my, no way to win :)
Grama got Ashley a new deck of Old Maid cards for her birthday because in our set the Old Maid card is so bent and out of shape that it is obvious who she is. She even has bite marks. We have tried to bend and bite the other cards but it is still pretty obvious who the Old Maid is. Hopefully this new deck withstands the beatings :)
