But anyway, when we went to Denver for my friend Courtneys wedding, we spent about 24 hours in Fort Collins, CO. We had both never been there so we were looking forward to exploring together.
After a minor setback that added 3 1/2 hours to our drive (to make a long story short we turned around thinking Anna was sick and were heading back home only to find out she was completely fine after driving over 1 1/2 hours back home). It caused us to not be able to rent the bicycle built for two (something I want to do with Rob very badly) but besides that bump in the itinerary we had a blast.
We explored the city by public bus and walking. And did we walk! We waked to New Belgium and O-Dell breweries and had a blast. We went on the New Belgium brew tour and have never been given so much free beer on a beer tour before; it was pretty awesome. After hitting those two breweries we went downtown to see the city lite up in Christmas white lights. We had appetizers and a drink at a bar called the Yeti right in the middle of Old Town, walked around Old Town, fell upon a cute and yummy Italian restaurant and finished the night off wit amazing yummy and huge cookies!
The next morning we went on a 3 hour hike to Horsetooth Peak. So glad we did it; a beautiful hike to start off a Saturday morning. Beautiful. Then we headed into Denver and stopped in Loveland, CO for lunch at the Green Onion. A MUST!!!!!
Would definitely go back to Fort Collins; a neat and fun town.
