Just TOO tired

Rob was changing Abby's diaper one late morning and as her zipped up her sleep sack she took one big exhale and passed out. Poor baby was exhausted!

Needless to say she took that nap on the floor :)

Backyard pool day

After blackberry picking we went to Half Price books to redeem our two free books for our summer reading program during the month of June. The girls were ecstatic to add 2 more Rainbow Magics a piece to their collection. Then we spent the afternoon playing with Grama and Kate at our house.

It was a hot day and we wanted to make it to the pool but that wasn't possible so the pool and sprinkler came to us!!! The girls goggled up and Abby oohhhhed and awwwed her way through the pool. Abby LOVED it!

Blackberry Picking

This morning we went out to Edgerton to the same place we picked strawberries to pick blackberries. And we are SOOOOOOOOOOOO glad we went! It was their first day to be open to the public for u-pick and we were super excited! Ashley wasn't as excited because she decided to not wear socks in her rain boots resulting in hot, sweaty feet and a whiny "I'm hot" reaction every 2 min. But all in all is was awesome. We probably ate 2 pounds while picking they were so good.

I am not kidding when I saw these are probably the best blackberries I have ever had :) And HUGE! I sure hope they are still open for u-pick when we get back from Florida :) the girls decided that so far this has been their favorite fruit to pick.

Anna can now do a back somersault in the pool

Ashley had gone 10 nights in a row with dry panties and gets her big girl "long" bed today

Abby can now crawl down the stairs backwards (thanks to Daddy and the girls)

Glamping in Hot Spring Arkansas

We survived our first experience "glamping" in a "yurt"  on Lake Catherine in Hot Springs Arkansas.

AND. IT. WAS. SO. AWESOME.

I don't know how Rob plans on getting me back in a tent after this.

So, here was our yurt. Air conditioned goodness to a perfect 72 degrees. Nice clean hardwood floors. Bunk bed futon. A double bed. A high table with high chairs. A good size mini frig. A sky light with an adorable lamp hanging from it. Internet and phone service (even thought we only used it while laying in bed while the kids slept). Less then a 100 foot walk to the most clean camping bathrooms and showers I have ever seen (and there was an area with a sink to clean/wash/prep food and dishes). And even room for us to squeeze a pack n play. It was awesome.

Putt Putt

One afternoon we ventured out to putt putt on a pirate ship. A storm rolled in halfway through our game so we came back the next day to finish. We had fun, golfed on a pirate ship, I got a hole in one and the second day it was SO hot! The girls get the hang of it towards the end and thought it was super fun.
