Date with Grammy

Abby was super lucky to have another date with a grandparent this week! This time Grammy came out to watch her swim and then we went to Paint Glaze and Fire for read me a story. The Very Hungry Caterpillar was the story and Abby was so excited because it was also the book of the week at Hilltop. We listened to the story and then painted a worm (caterpillar). She decided to make a rainbow polka dotted caterpillar with a black bottom with a smiley face on it). We can't wait to see how it turns out!

Then we went to lunch at Zoe's Kitchen before heading to Kindergarten Roundup.

Such a fun day!

Spring in Kansas

Snow one day, 80 the next..... KS is so confusing in the Spring. So our solution... bathing suits, popsicles and UGGS just in case!!!!!

Family Date

This past Saturday we headed to the Planetarium (as part of a Truman State University Alumni Event) and then went to Grinders for dinner. Both places were awesome!

Kindest Kansas Citian

Both girls wrote essays for kindest kansas chitin and Anna was chosen as the top essay in her second grade class. As a result she got to read her essay about Ms Marilyn at the all school assembly. Ms Marilyn came to the assembly and Anna did an AWESOME job reading!

At the end of the assembly we found out that Anna was 1 of 3 from the school who received city wide honorable mention for Kindest Kansas Citian and her name will be published in the newspaper. AWESOME!!

What a fun way to recognize people we love!

Abby visits SRE lunchroom

Big Sis Ashley was excited to show Abby the ropes of eating in the cafeteria. And Abby was super excited to learn! She held her own try, filled her plate and even carried her plate to the table to eat. Abby was excited because she said she LOVED the chicken tenders, corn, grapes and especially the white milk!!!!!!

Can't believe she will be doing this on her own.....

Grammy is mystery reader!

Grammy surprised Anna's class as mystery reader. Anna was super surprised and excited.
