Otter is here!!!

Yesterday we come home from the Home Depot to find otter waiting for us on the front door step.

 

We were so excited!!! We ripped open the package, said hi to our friend we have missed the past 11 months and then had daddy read us his story.

 

We went to bed so excited to wake up in the morning to see where otter would be. We just love Otter!!

 

Anna is really concerned with why I didn't have one growing up and I told her it was because back in the old days the elves had to make all the toys. Now with all this fancy machinery in the North Pole, elves are still needed to help make toys but since not as many are needed they are sent here. She seemed very satisfied with this answer and told me not too worry because I now have an elf :)

Tuesday was our 8th wedding anniversary. Love this man more and more every year! Someday we will celebrate properly, just the two of us, but Tuesday was anniversary taco dinner night with the girls! And it was fab....

Something to eat community service

After some Black Friday shopping, we went to an event called Pack Friday.

Youth front organized a time for people to come in and help pack 50,000 meals to be delivered to people around the KC area this holiday season. The girls and I had done this event before through something to eat and were excited to be back packing meals again!

We met Anna's friend Lucy's family there and spent 1 1/2 hours creating as a group 50,000 meals. It was fun and pretty amazing what a small group of people can accomplish in such a short time. 

We hope we get another opportunity with this organization to give back; the girls just LOVe it!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Black Friday shopping

This year I was too exhausted to go out on Thursday (I was asleep by 945!!) but by 5:30 the next morning I was up and at em!

I went to Home Depot for batteries and ended up coming out with so much more.... I am hitting myself I didn't take a picture of me pushing the huge flatbed cart!!!! 5 kitchen Bar stools, a leather side chair, batteries, outdoor mat and a pop up canopy made for. Very successful and unexpected haul. 

Then I came home, dressed and fed the girls and out we went at 8 am to hit up five below and justice. The girls had money burning in their pockets from selling old toys so they had lots of fun hitting the Black Friday deals!!!

So much fun with these monkeys! Ashley was so confused to be shopping this early; she kept asking if the day was almost over and it wasn't even noon!!!!
