Fairy Garden

Within minutes of getting home from Firefly forest, the girls were in a tizzy trying to build their fairy garden!

To start with we planted leftover flowers from Abby's birthday party. They wanted a swing and a house so we (mostly I) made it out of sticks. They wanted the fairies to have toys so they found a small pot and put circle beads (for balls) and small hair ties (fairy hula hoops) in it, they made a stage for the fairies to sing and dance on, made a slide out of a shell, decorated a special tin for each of them, and made a bed, snuggle toy, couch, chair and table out of shells. Then they made a walkway using beads.
The girls are 110% believers in fairies and truly believe they have been to our garden. I might have encouraged it by putting glitter in different spots at night for them to find in the morning, or messing with the toys for them to clean up in the morning. They run out to the garden when they wake up, after nap and after we get home from any trip out of the house. They are obsessed and really worried the goblins are going to come :) They have even written signs that say "No Blasting Magic," "Fairies Only," and "No Goblins Allowed." It is pretty cool....
As we built, Abby just looked cute
And played with balloons left over from her birthday party
And then later we saddled up and went to the pool :)
We love our fairy garden :)

Firefly Forest

Last week the girls and I decided to check out "Firefly Forest." If you haven't heard of this place, it's behind Deanna Rose and is home to many fairy houses. Since the girls are super into the Fairy Magic books I thought it would be a perfect place to bring them.

When we got there everyone was so excited!! The place even felt magical :) As we walked we noticed many silver stars hanging with sayings written on them but not many fairy houses. We came across a little green door home that was on a tree hole but no fairy houses. So I started asking the avid walkers and bikers that passed us and found out that within the last two weeks the houses had been horrible vandalized (bored kids in summertime) and most of the stuff had been cleared out.

My girls were super disappointed but I quickly saved the day by asking them if the goblins did this. See, the goblins are the bad guys n the Fairy Magic books and the girls totally bought into it! They couldn't believe the goblins wrecked everything and they were very concerned with where the fairies were going to live and wanted to make a fairy house of their own in our backyard.

So we collected sticks from the fairy forest and headed home to make a magical fairy garden of our own!

The next day they wanted to show Daddy the forest so we took him. To our surprise there was more stuff there that the girls got to discover that wasn't there to day before. The girls totally ate this all up and thought it was awesome :)

Anna and Ashley both commented on how magical the whirlpool was :)

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!!

This past weekend we had an absolute blast celebrating Daddy. Saturday we took him to Firefly forest, to Deanna Rose, took naps with him Saturday and then grilled him a fabulous BBQ dinner. Then we continued the next morning with an egg casserole, play time at home and a late afternoon/evening get together at Grammy and Poppy's to celebrate Poppy. We even got to hang out with the Minnesota cousins- Frannie and Henry are in town all this week :)

We had so much fun playing with Henry and Frannie. We played Pirate Fairy, baseball, threw rocks in the pond and drove mommy CRAZY asking if we could eat dinner and dessert. It was so much fun!

Love,
Anna, Ashley and Abby

Abby enjoyed riding around in the built in lazy susan on Grammy's new patio furniture!

Our girls are actually pretty good hitters. And they LOVED it! :)

40 months old

We love you Ash Ash!

This month her newest "trick" is acting like a baby as much as possible. She loves talking in baby talk and making up words.

What we are working on this month: A little less whining and little more patience :) OH and trying to nap more then once a week would be nice :)

Much Love,
Jenny
