Turkey Crafts

Made with mommy

Made at preschool

(cooking with mommy is on the red feather)

I just LOVE my arts and crafts!

Love,
Anna

PS Since Anna brought home the thankful turkey and I realized how much she LOVES cooking with me, we have done even more then normal. Since I am know conscious of the fact that she loves cooking with me enough to tell her teachers, I am making it a point to involve her even more then normal. Today Anna cooked 90% of our dinner for us- fiesta chicken in a crock pot with cilantro lime rice. It was DELISH! She even ate a taco and Ashley even took some bites. She was so proud.

Two heads are better then one????

Especially when doing puzzles! (Most of the time :))

Lately these two (well Anna) have been very patient with one another :) I really think it's preschool rubbing off on Anna at home- she has been such a shining star big sister lately.

Ponytail

It didn't last long, but it happened!

I mean just look at this little pony tail face- LOVE it!

Happy Belated Birthday Papa

Last Saturdaym Gigi pulled off a great surprise for Papa's birthday. She had cooked dinner for Papa and Grama and then we showed up for dessert after with the Horton's. Gigi had made a homemade chocolate cake and guess what? She had put 57 candles on it! 57... when mommy lite the candles the cake GLOWED! We sang him happy birthday, helped him blow out all the candles and then Kate and I licked all 57 candles clean! So awesome!

We had so much fun playing at Gigi's, watching college football and celebrating Papa. We got him an itunes gift card and he is super excited to download new songs; he has never done that before. He can't wait to pick them out!

We love you Papa! Happy birthday!

Love,
Anna and Ashley

PS Thanks Gigi for organizing such a terrific surprise!

Dining Room

I did it. I finally got it done. After about 3 1/2 hours, my orange dining room dream has now become a reality. And I love it; Rob does too!! We like the change from Johnson County Beige to something a little more "us." The pictures make the orange brighter then it really is, but it is still pretty bright dark orange in person!

This picture has the entry way rug in it so you can see the inspiration for the color orange in the flowers on the rug. We matched one of the oranges pretty darn good :)

This picture below is probably the one that shows the true color the best towards the bottom of the walls in the picture (look at the orange color towards the bottom. It is the same color throughout but the lighting and flash made the top look lighter.)

Now onto finding new art work for the dining/living room and onto painting the living room (light beigh white to drown out some of the bright orange), kitchen (light turquoise blue) and the hearth room (lime green). Bold color choices, but oh so excited! It should feel like a warm, inviting, fun and cozy first floor! Once again, so much to do.... so little time :)

Braid

Look what someone is letting me do?

And she LOVES it!

Much Love,
Jenny

PS And then there's this one who does THIS anytime I try to do anything to her hair. I have to sneak in a hair clip for the bangs and eventually she finds it and pulls it out.

Raking Leaves

Saturday morning we volunteered with Rob's church to rake 2 yards of some elderly in the area.

The girls each brought there own rakes and had a blast. Our expectations were quite low of them; Daddy hoped they would help bag "a couple dozen or so," but they helped a ton for the first 30 minutes. Raking, carrying leaves, putting them in the bags and just having fun. But there favorite part was jumping in the MASSIVE piles that were made and hiding in the leaves. 2 hours later and around 75 FULL bags of leaves, we headed to a little lunch at chick-fil-a.

I didn't have my camera but here were a couple pictures the pastor took of the girls having a blast!

We hope to be involved in this activity every year since it was such an easy and nice thing to do with the girls. Plus it being on a 70 plus degree day in November helped!

Much Love,
Jenny
