4 year old pictures

Ashley and I went to Portrait Innovations to get her 4 year old pictures done. I love a basic picture of them with a white background taken each birthday to hang on their walls. And this year, Ashley made them especially hard to choose from. We literally LOVED them all :) But staying with our $14.99 package deal, we decided on our favorite. We hope you love it!

PS I can't believe she's almost 4 :)

One of the things I love about these package deals is that they give you 20 free cards with it! Thanks you's are done :)

Some cute ones from our day together :)

Mommy decided that I would take advantage of some natural light and practice some camera skills today while playing with Miss Abby. And I am glad I did. Learned new things and got some cute pics :) Especially the first :)

Strep Throat

Yes, you read that right.

Today I picked up Ashley from school to find out that 10 minutes prior they had taken her temperature. And it read 99.9 degrees.

Within minutes she complained of a sore throat and belly ache. She had told me her throat hurt that morning while brushing her teeth but I just thought it was Ashley being Ashley and nothing of it. But when she kept telling me it hurt, I thought, "uh oh."

So we went to an urgent care. Ashley told the doctor her head, throat and belly hurt. So they swabbed her throat to find out that she tested negative on the strep culture test. But the doctor said she was 99% sure Ashley had strep. Her throat hurt, belly hurt, head hurt, had no appetite, wanted water, low grade fever (by that time it was 100.4 degrees), glands were swollen and she looked sick. My poor baby girl.

Not being thrilled at the fact that she prescribed me strep meds without being 100% sure she had strep I went ahead an filled the prescription. If it is strep, we need to beat this bad boy (3 days left until we leave for Disney my friends).

Ashley was a tired mess. She mostly relaxed while watching movies and drank water. Lots of it. And ate the cheeto/dorito mix she conned me into getting at Walgreens,. Hey, at least she ate something.

I hope she wakes in the morning feeling much better. It is no fun being sick......

Valentine's for teachers

Can't wait to give the teachers these homemade chocolate, butterscotch, peanut butter peanut cluster goodies we made today :) We LOVE Valentine's Day!

Sick Day

This past Friday Anna stayed home sick. She had had 2 cases of the runs that morning and was scared that she would continue to have them at school. She has had diarrhea at school before and I was called to come and pick her up early since she wasn't feeling good and Anna really didn't want that to happen again. So I let her stay home with Abby and me.

Good thing she did because she had an episode or two that would really have freaked her out at school :) And she thought it was pretty awesome to be doing what mommy and Abby do during the day; which that day was plan for Ashley's birthday party that evening. She helped run errands, wrap presents and put together supplies.

She seemed to like this sick a just a little too much :)

What we wrapped....
Ashley's reaction when she saw her presents... "Ah, oh?!?! For me?!?!?" in her very goofy voice :)

Target exchanges

With birthday party comes lots of presents. And with lots of presents are presents we already have or presents we have no interest in. For example, Ashley opened up a doctor costume and looked at it and said, "This is weird. I don't like this." Good thing we didn't open in front of friends, right?!?!?! So needless to say Ashley had the opportunity to go exchange her gifts at Target for new gifts that she really wanted. Just mommy and Ashley went to Target on a "date" which she loved!

And oh the decisions!!!! Deciding between blankets, toys, games. She did a great job and even though she wanted to buy 7 monster high dolls with her exchanges, I convinced her to settle on two. So she picked out her most favorite "mommy they are so beautiful" dolls.

Bowen's Birthday Party

Today we went to our 3rd birthday party of the weekend; Baby Bowen's first birthday. He is the son of mommy's friend from high school. We were the oldest kids there! We had lots of fun playing with some of Bowen's toys (yes, even big kids like baby toys) and eating lots of yummy treats. Our favorites were the adorable owl sugar cookies, small special sodas, m and m's and anything with sugar! We LOVE birthdays :)
