Hot cocoa with Aunt Anne, Kate and Grama on Mommy's day :)
To continue Mommy birthday afternoon without her, we decided some free hot
cocoa sounded good after lunch, so we went across the street to Von Maur
and Kate showed us how it's done!! The hot cocoa was not very chocolates though...bummer! It was still a fun stop before we headed to Brew Top to meet mommy and everyone else for a fun happy hour of drinks, appetizers and video game playing.
Abby's First Time Bowling
On mommy birthday Abby got to bowl for the first time ever. And she LOVED it!
Of course cleaning the ball because this child cleans EVERYTHING!

Mommy's Birthday Lunch!
While I went home to get Abby down for a nap,the girls joined Grama, Aunt Anne and Kate for a "birthday lunch" at Panera.
It was yummy!!
Mommy's Birth- Day!
Rewind 15 days.... yes 15 days
It was my birthday. I love my birthday!
That morning we went bowling at the kids bowling time at Pinstripes. Aunt Anne, Kate and Grama joined us. We bowled for a whole 2 hours and had so much fun. Grama even got 3 strikes in a row (followed by 4 gutters but no one needs to know that part :))
Then afterwards we walked around Prairie Fire in the absolute miserable cold to find a good happy hour place for the evening. I then left with Abby to take her home for a nap because she didn't seem to be feeling the best (little did I know that at 4 pm she would start showing signs of pink eye :))
It was a super fun birthday bowling morning :)

Poor Baby Girl couldn't make it home before falling asleep. Out in less then 1 min :) Good thing she transitions well form car to crib :)
4 year well visit
Ashley also was seen Monday for her 4 year well visit.
And let me tell you, she shocked my pants off!!!! Little Miss Mommy's girl is growing up!
The nurse asked her to follow her to get her height and weight done and she went automatically without looking back at me. Then the nurse asked if she wanted mommy to come with her to get her hearing tested or if she wanted to just go with the nurse and Ashley chose to go with the nurse without mommy. And then while the nurse checked her vitals she told Ashley she could sit on mommy lap or sit on the exam table and she didn't even looked at me; she went straight to that exam table.
This probably doesn't seem like much, but this is huge. My little Ash Ash.
Anyways to her health. She is growing great, looks healthy and the doctor had no concerns. I had a concern that drinking 4 oz of milk was not enough but the doctor said eating cheese and yogurt daily makes up for the lack of milk. This made me feel better but she could still drink a little more :)
Here are her numbers:
Height: 40 inches- 75th %tile (YES she can ride some of the big ride at Disney!!!)
Weight: 35 1/2 pounds- 75th %tile
BMI- 75th %tile
Keep growing Ash Ash!

18 month well visit
Sorry for the absence- I am 100% engrossed of spending every minute I have to myself (which usually starts after 8 pm or times that are rare like right now when all 3 of my kids want nothing to do with me:)) taking down Christmas, getting the house in order, preparing for the family trip to Disney in 22 days (!!!!) and preparing for Ashley's birthday party :)
Monday we went in for Abby's 18 month well visit. She checked out great! The doctor said she looked super healthy and was growing great. She was also so pleased with how well and laid back Abby was with letting her take all her vitals; she continually praised me on how well my children behave while in the office (which was nice to hear :) They at least have someone fooled!)
Here are her numbers:
Height: 32.5 in- 60th %tile
Weight: 26 lbs 10 oz- 75th %tile
Head Circumference: 18 3/4 inches- 75th %tile
She got one booster shot and when she got it she scowled her little face and screamed "OW!" in the nurses face and then cried for a minute. I felt sorry for the kid but it was pretty cute to see her get so mad at the nurse :) Unfortunately she developed a fever, was pretty fussy and wanting mommy all the time the next day and I am pretty sure it was a reaction to the shot. She would point to the shot, say "owie" and then act sad. But all is well now :)
