Ice Storm

This past Saturday morning we woke up to around a 1/2 inch of and ice/sleet mixture. The girls couldn't wait to get out in the "snow," "ice skate," play Frozen and break the ice! They lasted about 15 minutes in the cold but had some fun! Fascinated by the "dippin dot" ice they ate some, broke some and did some "ice skating."

The neighbors were sledding down the cul de sac so we decided to join in on the fun! Three runs down the street with mommy followed by 5 runs with Daddy sledding down ice was super fun!

And then we spent the rest of the day warm inside :)

Reading with Daddy

We love reading our "boring" books with Daddy!

Rock Chalk

Last Wednesday I was the date to my friend Renee to a KU game at the Fieldhouse. I was pumped since it has been forever since I have been to a KU game (I solely blame Rob since he is a MU fan). We started with an ice cold beer and burger at The Wheel (one of my favorite places ever!) and ended it with a awesome game (win) versus Iowa State. One of my old 8th grade students was bartending at The Wheel and served me my drink. She was one of my favs so it was really good to catch up with her.

I had an absolute blast and want to go back again ASAP! Fingers crossed I make it happen in April in Dallas.... :)

Rock Chalk!

Mommy cut our hair!

Anna has been asking for months now to get her haircut and I keep forgetting to schedule her one. Half kidding I asked her tonight if she wanted me to cut her hair after her bath and she said yes. So we did.

I was pretty relieved because the last place I really want to go these days with my 3 children is a hair salon. So I got my good scissors and chopped away.

While cutting Anna's hair, Ashley was watching ever so closely. I ask her if she wants her hair cut too and she said YES! She had been telling me no for months but finally gave in when she saw how much fun it looked. I honestly think she just wanted Anna to move so she could sit on the vanity chair.

Nonetheless both girls got a little over an inch cut off. Hopefully it helps with all the knots they have been getting.

Much Love,
Jenny

PS I can't wait to see it when they wake up in the morning with dry hair!

Before's and Afters!!! I only took a little over an inch off but in these pictures it looks like I cut much more :)

Highlight of two weekends ago....
