Happy Birthday to ME!

Monday was my birthday. Just like every year in the past we headed out for Happy Hour with my mom, dad, the Hortons, Mary and Aaron and his family. But since this year was so cold and now that we have 5 kids that love to run around and a baby we had to think of a place other then the Plaza to go. So we headed to Blue Moose in Prairie Village. I had called to reserve their sunroom for our party so it was perfect! We had half the room to ourselves and plenty of room for the kids to be kids. Plus we got good half priced food and drinks!

Happy 33 years to me! Today Rob and the girls shower me with a family birthday. I just LOVE birthdays!!!

First Tooth!

When Abby was laughing yesterday, I discovered a pearly white! A brand new tooth! Her first tooth!

Poor baby girl; she had the stomach flu this past weekend while teething. You wouldn't have thought she was in much pain though because she continued to smile and laugh the entire time... just a little more subdued. We were having a little bit of a hard time getting her to sleep at times and it make so much sense now- her teeth!!!!

And she even let me take a picture of it (her bottom left).

 No wonder she wanted EVERYTHING in her mouth so much this past week (including my boob!)

 She is one happy baby; even when teething :)

Our favorite gifts

Our favorite gifts are our costumes!!!!!!!!! All together we got tons of awesome costumes from Santa and Grama/Papa. We got Anna and Else from Frozen, Jasmine, Pocahontas, a pirate princess (Sneaky la beak), Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates and wedding Rapunzel. We love them all and are doing such a good job letting each other borrow them :)

Thanks everyone :) Pretty much the only time we don't have one of them on we are eating, sleeping or in the car :)

 

 

 

 

 

Happy 2014!

Happy 2014!

We rang in the new year once again (we celebrated it at 8:00!) at Grama and Papa's with Gigi and the Horton's. We headed over there around 11 for lunch and even took our naps there (it had been so long since we have napped there!!!)

We did TONS of Frozen performances with Kate, we played house a lot, helped Grama and Papa figure out their tablets and even watched Sleeping Beauty. We ate ourselves silly on pigs in a blanket and chocolate sprinkled oreos that we made with mommy that morning. We even had our own "Happy New Year" toast with the sprinkled rimmed milk glasses and oreos we made. We had tons of fun!

PS Mommy and Daddy woke up to the fireworks in the neighborhood at midnight enough to look at each other and say Happy New Year. Man are they getting old!!!!
