Hats
Daddy's dermatologist found another Basal cancer cell spot on his face so he had to have surgery again to remove it (4th time since knowing mommy on different spots).
And since it could be genetic, guess who wears matching hats when we are outside??? Yup, we all do! We are just starting to get used to hats with the nice weather. Anna doesn't seem to mind hers that much, but Ashley is not a fan. As with most things, with time it will get better and we won't mind the hats at all :)
Love,
Anna and Ashley
All by herself
So, she can do it! She can unvelcro her shoes, put them on and velcro them like a pro!
We just get them on the wrong feet some of the time :) Mommy's on the ball when she catches this before leaving the house! And of course she won't let me help one bit.... even when I say they are on the wrong feet, SHE has to be the ones to take them off, switch them (ask if ok) and then put them on again. when we are in a hurry it's not the most ideal...
Much Love,
Jenny

The Farm
We met my good friend Stephanie and her daughter Mary at Deanna Rose Farmstead this week.
Funny side note: I told Anna we were meeting Mary at the Farm and she asked, "Jesus too?" She was disappointed to find out that Jesus wasn't meeting us there. Pretty stinking cute!
It was so wonderful there; I just LOVE it! We saw tons of baby chicks, 5 baby cows, the HUGE milk cow, tons of baby goats (I think the man says they have 73 goats there), ducks, 3 pigs, 3 turkeys, 3 bunnies, fish, and lots of other fun animals. The girls were literally running to see each animal had an absolute blast! We feed the goats and Ashley fed them for the first time. Pretty timid but once she watched her sister do it a couple of times she was trying to feed them too.
Anna jumped on the cow and said "cheese." I asked if I should get my camera out for pictures and she said YES!
Love this one.... they were both actually pointing in opposite directions. The best one I got with the 2 of them :P)
And then Anna asked for the camera again.....
I can't wait until we go back (it will probably be a weekly thing) and I especially can't wait until we move to our new house since it will be less then 5 minutes away! Yipppppeeeeee!

Jenny

ZOO
We went to the zoo this week and had SO much fun! Ashley was out and running around the zoo with Anna and they both were SO excited to see all the animals. We did our normal walk; swans, otter, polar bear, sea lion show, monkeys, carousel and snakes and we had a BLAST! We also got to stay a little longer since Ashley is now taking a later nap around 11:15ish. YIPEEE!
This how they were at EVERY exhibit; literally with their noses pressed up against the windows.
Or their heads through the fencing....
She was utterly amazed.....
Someone thinks she is quite the big stuff lately! All by herself drinking from the water fountain. Trouble!
And then the carousel! I wish I had had someone with me to either take the pictures or hold the girls; they were simply adorable on the carousel ride. Despite having to take them while holding onto them I think I got some good ones. Anna is a complete ham and she rode the flamingo and then the tiger and wanted to keep riding over and over again.
Sitting on the flamingo looking for the Jayhawk...
Totally baffled they don't have a Jayhawk,,,,,
Still looking for Jayhawk.....
Settles for a Tiger instead! She was shocked he wasn't stinky!
Seriously could this picture show anything less then pure bliss??
And Ashley? It was Ashley's first carousel ride and since mommy was only there to hold her, it was hard getting a good picture of her. But here's one anyway! She rode the ladybug almost the entire time around and then the flamingo and mommy's hip for the final time!
TO THE SNAKES!!!
And at this point i had to explain to Anna that we only take off our clothes at home.... :)

Not Bunny
Tonight during our "cuddle and read in the tent with mommy and daddy while Ashley is asleep" time, Mommy started cuddling me so much that I laugh and tell her, "Mommy, I not your bunny!"
She thought it was SO funny and kept calling me her bunny and giving me TONS of cuddles like I give bunny.
We had so much fun! I am a pretty fun and funny kid with what comes out of my mouth these days :)
Love,
Anna
PS I also got to tickle Daddy and I had him laughing SO hard!
PSS I also kept calling Daddy Babe, just like mommy.

"Dirty Birdies"
At dinner the other night I started talking about the Jayhawks. I kept pointing out the Jayhawk to Daddy an d asking him something but he wouldn't answer. Mommy said, "Daddy doesn't like Jayhawks" and finally he said, "Anna, Jayhawks are dirty birdies." I looked at him and said, "No, Jayhawks!" Mommy chimed in and asked me what animal was dirty and I said, "Tigers. Dirty!"
Daddy and Mommy looked at each other and couldn't believe it! Mommy has never called the Tigers dirty; it was all me :)
I do love my Jayhawks!

Anna

Mommy Time Out
Today mommy was "hitting" my leg with a pretend hammer and i told her, "that's not nice mommy." then Daddy asked if mommy needed to go to timeout. I told him, "Yes."
So mommy sat in her time out chair for 2 whole minutes. I checked on her frequently to make sure she was quiet and not out of her chair. When the timer went off she asked if she could get out and I told her yes. I think she learned her lesson because there was no more "hammer time" on my legs!
