WILD Child on Christmas DAY!

Christmas REALLY was exciting! REALLY exciting!!!! When we got to Grama and Papa Fimmen's house, Kate and I got crazy (we were definitely on a Christmas high!) Look at the pictures below..... can you tell we were totally excited to be together celebrating Christmas?!?!?!

We had waited so patiently to open our presents; through brunch, through our naps and through our dinner. We were VERY patient girls so when the time came to open them we went BALLISTIC!!!!

Love,
Anna

Mommy's favorite picture of the ENTIRE weekend- WILD CHILD!

GiGi's Christmas Brunch

Christmas Day around noonish we drove over to Grama and Papa's house for a brunch made by GIGI. The Horton's and Uncle Bob were there too and it was awesome. She had worked so hard and made a sausage roll with scrambled eggs... it was SO yummy! SO yummy! We can't wait until GiGi cooks for us again (Looks like she had a screwdriver or two too!) Thanks Gigi!

Christmas Breakfast

What does our family eat for our traditional Christmas morning breakfast?!?!?!?! Homemade donuts- YUM YUM!!!!!!

And Ashley got Cheerios for the first time!

Our Christmas Morning

This is how our Christmas Morning started....

.... with a HUGE good morning hug with Daddy!!!! Mommy, Daddy and Baby were waiting for Anna to wake up and just before 8 am she did! And then we went STRAIGHT down to see what Santa brought us. But Anna was looking for Otter the Elf instead (we had left him in the Christmas tree) and in looking for Otter she completely over looked the presents. It took a minute and then she went CRAZY when she saw her Santa gifts; Alphie the Robot, her Barney stuffed animal and baby bassinet. (I hope to get the video uploaded but probably won't since I am already over loaded with staying up to date with posts!)

It was a GREAT Christmas morning. It was the first one where we woke up in our own house on Christmas morning and there is something magical about that. Especially with kids. We took our time enjoying Anna and Ashley's enthusiasm, had our traditional Christmas celebration breakfast, opened the family gifts to one another and played. I wish more mornings could be like Christmas!

Much Love,
Jenny

Santa's Cookies and an Otter Farewell

After our Christmas Eve dinner, I got to put out the cookies to Santa (Ashley had gone to bed much earlier). I put out 3 cookies for him and even poured him some milk. I also left Rudolph some carrots as a treat. And I think they both liked their treats because come morning they were ALL gone; just crumbs left over! I also left Santa a piece of art with stickers on it..... you won't believe it but he took that too!

After the cookies were ready, it was time for me to go to bed and also time for me to say good bye to my elf, Otter. Oh I miss him so much and every morning I still ask about Otter and tell mommy he "fly wit Ho Ho" back to the North Pole. I just wish he could stay forever. I guess I'll just have to wait 11 more months to see him again :) I love you Otter!!!! See me blowing kisses? I wanted to kiss him but since I can't touch him this is as close as it got!

Christmas Eve

We kept with our Christmas Eve tradition of cooking a nice dinner for both Rob and my parents; this year my grandma and Uncle Bob joined us. We started the night with a nice Christmas Eve service at Rob's house followed by a YUMMY dinner! Tomato Gorgonzola Soup (Rob's request and favorite), Nordstrom Blue Cheese Pear Salad, garlic bread and chicken parmesan. I had never made chicken parmesan before and it turned out quite yummy! It was a great night and I am 150% sure that my 2 girls loved EVERY minute of their unshared time with their grandparents (it's not just any day that both sets of grandparents come over to the house with just our girls there!)

Much Love,
Jenny
Anna was being a pain during the pictures but at least they turned out decent!

Uncle Bob had the touch at getting both girls to smile and cooperate for the camera!
Uncle Bob read Elf on a Shelf to Anna. She just LOVED it!

Our Painted Ornaments

I was one busy artist this Christmas! Here I am painting my salt dough ornaments. I painted the "Baby-O" heart 100% completely by myself as a gift for GIGI Stilley. As for the Santa's... mommy had fun painting. Apparently she is going to make us do the Santa's every year so she will eventually have an entire tree of just our hand print Santa's! This worries Daddy because he sees another Christmas tree around the house in the very near future!

I still have to paint the other ornaments I have at Grandma's so I can't wait :)

My hand print on the left; baby's on the right.
