The BrewMaster

Watch out Boulevard... there's a new BrewMaster in town :)

For Christmas, Rob got a beer brewing system and all the supplies that he could possibly need, including stuff to make the beer. After several hours of reading and preparing..... we can officially announce that the first batch of Pale Ale is fermenting in Ashley's Room.... pray to god it doesn't explode! In about 10 days we will have 54 bottles of beer!

Any name suggestions for Rob's new beer?

New Years Day

New Year's Day we woke up at Grandma and Grandpa Fimmen's house and so did the Horton's!! We had a great big breakfast and then played played played!!!

I forgot to tell you about what I made New Years Eve... icecream!!! Kate did the stirring and I did the test tasting- yum yum yum!

But that morning qwe made a gingerbread house that we had forgotten to make before Christmas and I had so much fun eating the candy! Daddy did help me put some candy on the house but most went in my mouth!

Then Kate and I had SO MUCH FUN playing in a BIG box. In and out, up and down, we would take turns popping out of it and sometimes we would do it together. Oh it was great!

And then the best thing happened..... Grandpa got out his remote controlled helicopter that the Horton's and we got him for Christmas. O. M. G. It was amazing! It would fly around the kitchen and get really close to us... once it hit the ceiling and fell RIGHT on me. Pretty scary but I thought it was REALLY cool. I can't wait to play more with the helicopter!

Double hug kiss

I love giving double hugs!

What I do is that I give daddy a headlock and then reach for mommy and give her a headlock... once I have them in a head lock I kiss them each on the cheek and then they kiss me!!!! This is a new thing I started doing about a week ago and mommy and daddy REALLY eat it up!

We rang in the new year this year at my parents house.... or should we say we were sleeping in the guest room at midnight at my parents house on New Years Eve!

Tons of great food, tons of monopoly cards, a little bit of Cinderella and laying on the couch (all done in our pajamas) made for one good New Years Eve!

Happy New Years from our Family to Yours!

Anna did like the hats and the glasses... she just didn't want to ever wear them :)

Happy Birthday to ME!

So my 30th birthday came and went and really didn't leave any scars... just great memories! I must say it was one of the best birthdays I have had recently!

For the 11th year running (I think I started the tradition back in 1999 when I turned 19) my family and I headed down to the Plaza for Happy Hour. Mom, Anne, Anna and I went down early to walk around and shop and had a great time! It was over 60 degrees out and felt wonderful! We then met Rob, his family, my dad, the Horton's and Katie Theurer at McCormick and Schmidts for some great eats during Happy Hour. We even ran into my old Kappa housemom Molly McGroder- CRAZY!

Afterward, we walked around the Plaza with my parents and the Horton's for a little over an hour. We had a fabulous time walking with the kids, looking at the lights and enjoying the 50 degree weather at 7 pm. Anna and Kate kept us entertained as they got SO excited to see the Cinderella carriages and the penguin statues. They also LOVED holding hands and singing songs with us as we marched on the sidewalk.

Anna even got to make a wish and rub the boars nose- AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

What a great night!
