21 months old

It's never too late for a monthly update!!!!!!

Happy 21 months old to me!

Here's what I've been up to the last month!

*I hop hop hop EVERYWHERE!
*Favorite songs- Justin Beiber- Baby. I even try to make a heart with my hands in the air like they do on the video. Anything that Barney and Baby Bop sing. I also love princess songs!
*Favorite TV show/dvd: Anything Barney and Baby Bop. I also still love grandma's Disney sing a long dvd.
*I have an impressive memory and am pretty predictable in what I like to do!
*I have really hard ear wax (gross!) and am still taking Mirlax and fiber gummies for my hard poopies.
*My Favorite Book right now is one called trucks. I also really like the potty training book and snugglepuppy.
*I am learning my colors. I am pretty good at finding red, yellow, green, blue, purple and pink; when you ask me what my favorite color is I say "pink!" I am learning my letters. I call them all A's with the exception of O, B (I call it Baby) and D (I call Daddy). I love to play my shape hopping game and hop to all the shapes that I know; circle, square, heart, triangle, and star.
*I am starting to count. I use my fingers and a couple times when mommy has said count, I say "one" and hold up my pointer finger!
*I am sleeping the same as I was last month- very good! I still give everyone kisses night night- mommy, daddy, baby, brother and teddy!
*I am still napping around 1 1/2 - 2 hours a day. On a very active day I can sometimes sleep close to 3 hours!
*I brush my teeth in the morning and night. I like to do it by myself (like most of everything) and get upset when mommy wants to help me.
*I am very independent. I love to buckle myself into the high chair and car seat and demand that I do it myself. I also throw a fit if I am not allowed to dress myself or put on my shoes or do anything that I have my mind set to!
*I still love being outside
*I spend time in timeout on a weekly basis- not too much time but I do visit it. Once we were at Grandma's and Daddy was putting me in timeout and didn't know where it was... well I gladly showed him where it was! Timeout has been pretty effective with me and I pretty much need a timeout warning to stop what I am doing. On my onery days, I need to be put in timeout so I remember how much I don't like it.
*I am talking "Anna Talk" Mommy and daddy understand what I have to say most of the time. I call myself "a" or "Me Me"
*I love to act like a puppy. I crawl around on the ground and pant like a doggy!
*I love playing with babies- I feed them, bathe them, burp them, sush them, play with them, push them in swings and love them!
*I love my sister SO much! I am always giving her kisses!

Oh and look at how I hate laying on my back on someone's belly.... I prefer sitting and watching everything and will try my hardest to sit up! I have some serious ab muscles!

Farm with Cooper

Today we went to Deanna Rose with Cooper. We saw all the animals, walked around and even shared snacks! He even let me feed him his cheeze-it's and he gave me a couple too! I just love it when I get to spend time with Cooper! And in two months Ashley will be able to spend time with his younger sibling like us!

Pray

The last month or so, I have started to pray during dinner! While mommy, daddy and I am eating, I will reach out to hold mommy and daddy's hands and say "bra" to pray for brother. Mommy or daddy usually says the prayer and I watch them seriously as they pray with their heads down. After they are done, we let go of hands and I look at them, reach out my hands to hold their hands and bring up another person to pray for. We usually pray for mommy, daddy, brother, baby, bunny, lambie and all my friends and family. Sometimes I get silly and ask to pray for my sippy cups or necklaces. I just love when we pray!!

We've got a creeper!

Yep- the littlest baby girl is doing the classic baby army crawl and is practically creeping across rooms on her belly- I am talking yards!! For about a month now she has been able to spin around on her belly and she has even scooted on her belly; but no she is officially creeping! I bet it's sooner then later that Ashley will be crawling and chasing around her big sister!

Staycation- Fimmen House

The last part of the stay-cation was spent at Grandma and Papa's house. We had so much fun! We played, played played, went to the pool, went to the playground, watched Barney, went shopping and hung out outside. Anna got to wear Kate's swimming suit and thought that it was the best thing ever- she thought that Kate had given it to her and kept calling it "A's." When we were at the pool Anna got to go into the big girl pool and jump off the side into papa and mommy's arms. She loved every minute of it! It was so great having Grandma and Papa all to ourselves and it was so much fun! We can't wait for another stay-cation with our grandparents!

Staycation- Stilley House

This past week daddy went on a vacation with his buddies from graduate school and we went on a stay-cation!!!!

We had so much fun! We spend the first two days and one night at Grammy and Poppy's house where we played, played, played, went to the pool, hung out with Henry, played at a playground and took Peanut on a lot of walks. It was great having one day with just Grammy and another day with Henry. It was a blast!

i pee pee.... i poo poo

We are getting close... VERY close... to potty training time!

Anna has always been infatuation with the potty.... she loves the potty song and loves watching others use it. If you remember right, I posted in a blog a couple months ago about how she has kissed the potty. Well... now she has words for it. When she is peeing she says "i pee" and when she goes poop she says "i poo poo." I can even tell by watching her when she is pooping or peeing. She also takes her own diaper off in an attempt to use the potty and has fun just sitting on it. 

Just recently, I started the M and M bribe where she gets an m and m is she does one of the following things

1. Tells me when she goes pee (says I pee and the diaper is warm to touch) or poop.

2. When I ask her is she has poop and she says the correct answer- yes or no. It is too cute when she is sitting on the potty and I ask and she shakes her head and says no.... too cute.

3. Goes pee pee or poo poo on the potty.

The M and M bribe has been pretty successful throughout the last couple of days... today after swimming she even sat on the potty for almost 15 minutes (getting up and down and waling around just to go back to the potty) and successfully went pee on the potty! We got SO excited, clapped, shouted hooray, flushed it down the toilet (Anna got to flush for the first time) and celebrated with some M and M's. She was beaming with pride when she looked in the toilet and saw it!

We are just having fun with it right now and plan on trying after our July 4th trip. The M and M's are stocked and fingers will be crossed!

I just love dressing up in jewelry! Silly Bands, glasses, hats, bracelets, necklaces, rings.... you name it, I LOVE it! Mommy bought me this purple cowgirl hat this weekend for 99 cents and she says it's the best dollar spent in a long time! I agree!

stilley cousin pics

Last week we went to get Stilley cousin pictures taken and oh was that an event!!!! Anna was being completely ridiculous and didn't want a picture taken for the first 30 minutes and then when we got Anna settled, Ashley then became completely exhausted and wouldn't stop crying. The boy cousins did a good job but we pretty much had some not so happy girls let me tell you! And you think they would be pros at smiling with how many times I click my camera at them!!!! By the end of the hour long session and after sweating in a hot room running around with a flamingo hat on my head hardly getting any smiles from the kids, I was exhausted too and needed a drink.... too bad it was only 11 am :)

The above picture is what I think is the best group pic of them (love the colors!) We are getting a CD of all the images and will post more (especially the funny ones) when we get them... I copied this picture from the photographers link (which is probably illegal) but I wanted all my friends to see it! I just love all these cousins!!

Bows

I am starting to wear bows and headbands more and more! I like it when others (mommy, baby or Kate) are wearing bows and that tends to help me want to wear them. My hair is starting to get a little long in the front so they help keep hair out of my face. Mommy thinks I look super cute in them and LOVES when I wear them!

Luau

Last weekend we went to our first Luau- it was one for our cousin Meghan's 2nd birthday. We had so much fun! A pinata, pool party, water balloon fight, kool-aid, cheese dip, fruit, flower necklaces and fun fun fun! And we can't wait for the next birthday party..... ANNA'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
