In an attempt to have her practice standing while holding onto something, I decided to use the "walk and ride." Anna has played on this several times with daddy and me but has never stood holding onto it or walked.
Well today she did both!
She took off like a wild woman and was so proud of herself she kept turning to me and smiling. She even hit a couple roadblocks of toys and managed to get up and around them. Once she found out she could cruise it's all she wanted to do and would get mad when she would get stuck in a corner.
What out world- here comes our little kamakazie!!!

Sedgewick County Zoo
Yesterday we went to the Wichita Zoo and it is AWESOME! If they would have let me, I would have hugged the lion just like I hug my cousins dogs Boomer and Bailey!
We went through South America, Africa, Australia, some of Asia and saw monkeys,gorillas, tigers, lions, elephants getting a bath, giraffes, hippos, rhinocerous, birds, fish, ducks and TONS of other animals. We even got to see a baby monkey YOUNGER then me! It wasn't too hot out but when we got hot we would walk under the misters- I LOVE the misters!!!
I can't wait to go back and walk through Asia and North America.

Kansas City Trip
Last Tuesday, mommy was homesick so we drove to Kansas City. Daddy was supposed to meet us Friday night but plans changed and daddy stayed in Wichita and we drove back Saturday morning.
We had so much fun!
We spent the night at Grandma Fimmens because Aunt Carolyn, Tom and Meghan were in town. We got to spend almost everyday with the cousins (which is a good thing since they aren't coming back to KC until after winter time). I LOVED watching and playing with them. Meghan and I had so much fun together! I also spent a day at Grammy Stilley's house. We had a lot of fun and got to see Poppy for dinner.
I had my first bath with all 3 of the Fimmen cousins and besides a head dive into the bathtub that freaked mommy out, it was a lot of fun :)
Bailey and Boomer were in town too and OH.MY.GOSH do I LOVE them! They are so much bigger then Peanut and I got SO excited EVERYTIME I saw them! I would give them hugs and kisses all the time and when they wagged their tails it made me giggle!
I love taking trips to Kansas City. I just LOVE my family!

Happy 10 months old to me!
Here's what I have been up to!
* I am a maniac crawler. I crawl around things, under Peanut, over mommy and daddy and everywhere I can get!
* I pull myself up and sit back down in a very controlled manner. I love doing squats while holding onto things.
* I am "creeping" around on my feet while holding onto things. I love walking between the couch and the ottomon- it's SO much fun!
* I chew on lots of things- including my crib and all of mommy and daddy's wood tables.
* I started weaning off breast milk and am officially weaned as of today. I get REALLY excited to see my bottle (baba)
* I had my first bloody mouth but hitting my mouth on the blanket bucket and mommy REALLY freaked out.
* I love playing with Peanut (bra) and his babies. I also love when he chases me!
* I am beginning to stand by myself for 5 or more seconds. I am also starting to stand on tip toes when I am holding onto things.
* I got my 5th and 6th teeth
* When mommy or daddy say num a nums, I chomp my mouth!
* I do "hog nose" all the time.
* I am waving and pointing at things!
* I went to the church nursery and loved it!
* I am fascinated with shadows.
*I am sleeping better. Mommy started spacing out my naps so that they are 3 1/2 - 4 hours apart instead of 3 hours apart. My bedtime is no longer at 6:15, it is now around 7:30ish! I am also sleeping until 6-6:30ish instead of 4:30ish. (Mommy says fingers crossed and she hopes I am not jinxing her by writing this!!!)
* Oh- and I always have bruises on my forehead from all my falls! I am so tough that I barely cry :)
Being 10 months old is so much fun and I can't wait to see all that I learn during my 11th month :)

Up.....the.....stairs!!!!!!
Today while at Grandma's house while all the cousins were napping (I of course was not!) I figured out how to go up the stairs ALL.BY.MY.SELF!!!!!!!!!!
I really made mommy and grandma nervous until I did it many times with ease that they were able to breathe and capture some on video. My best climb was 6 stairs in a row (and the next day the ENTIRE staircase!) I was so comfortable crawling up them that I was taking "semi" big girl steps up. Oh it was so much fun!
Everyone can't believe how big I am getting :)
Mommy has a video from grandma's camera but it won't upload. We will try and get it recorded next time we are in KC!

Dillons
Dillons is one of my most favorite place in the WHOLE entire world!
We got there about 2-3 times a week and EVERY TIME we get into the store I get so excited and yell "ba ba ba" at all the balloons. You see, Dillons has balloons that say SALE by all there sale items so there are balloons EVERYWHERE!!!! And when daddy is with us, he holds me and we embarrass mommy and run around the store like crazy people and hit all the SALE balloons! It is so much fun that I giggle A LOT!
Well this past week, mommy got brave and asked the florist for a balloon for me and not only did I get one, and not only was it free, but it was PINK!!!!!!!!!!!!! My very own balloon! I held it the entire time around the store, in the car, on the walk to the apartment and while we were playing in the apartment.
Peanut HATES when I bring them home and he barks constantly at them but I love them so much that mommy and daddy don't mind it that much.
I love getting balloons and today mine was red! I wonder what color my next one will be!

Great Weekend!
We had just a fan-tastic weekend!!!!
I went with daddy on Saturday to the Hawker Beechcraft airplane exhibit right by our apartment and even though it was SO hot we had so much fun! I got my picture taken with an airplane from the 1940's- older then my grandparents!!! WOW!
Then afterwards we went to the YMCA pool to cool down and we had so much fun in the wave pool, swings, watersprays and shallow end. I even went down a slide with daddy and he kept getting stuck! I think it was a little kid slide and mommy couldn't stop laughing at him :)
On Sunday we chill-axed after church and lunch at Jose Peppers and then came back to watch some of the Tour De France (mommy and daddy both like that) and we saw Spain win the World Cup in soccer.... GOAL in extra time! Then we played and daddy made me a salmon dinner- just like they were having. 5 bites and that was enough! Cheerios PU-LEASE!!!!!!

"Senora Tupperware Head"
Mommy and daddy don't like me being in the kitchen that often so they have moved a bin of tupperware into my playroom (aka the entire apartment) and I LOVE to play with it!
I love putting on tupperware tophats, drinking out of it, putting balls in it, stacking them and I love when mommy calls me tupperware head!!!

Some of my tricks
I am really adding to my bag of tricks!!!! I love doing "SO BIG," shake shake shake with my hands, peek-a-boo with ANYTHING that can cover my head and I LOVE to clap my hands when I am happy! I am really good at following directions; when mommy tells me to give her something please, I give it to her. I also do the same with Peanut and his babies. And I LOVE to roll balls back and forth with people!
I am also beginning to wave to people but this happens pretty inconsistently. I am also beginning to say "hi" and "bubye."
I am saying mom-ma when ever mommy walks into the room or when I go into her room with daddy to wake her up in the morning. I say "ba" for balloon and ball and something that sounds a little different then "ba" for brother (Peanut). I am giving daddy "fives" and whenever mommy says num a nums, I chump my lips together and chew!
I have so much to say and can't wait to be a little chatterbox!

Toddler Time
Today we went to Toddler Time ate the YMCA water park and had SO much fun!
You wouldn't believe it! They shut down the water park from 10-11:30 for little kids only! It was awesome!
Mommy swung me in the water swings, we played in the zero entry pool and watched the big kids run around, we sat in the fountains and played with my toys and also splashed in the water and in the sprays. Mommy was much smarter than all the other mommies because I was the only one with toys. All different kids, even BIG ones were coming up and asking to play with me in the fountains. We had so much fun!
Mommy says we can go back every week.... I want to go back every day :) She says maybe because I took a 1 and a half hour long nap afterward! And after my nap I was still SO tuckered that I snuggled with mommy and her pillow for an hour on the couch while watching my videos (and this RARELY happens!!)

.... is owning TWO! OR so my Grandpa Walsh says!!!
Yup- you read right......We have a contract down on a house in Wichita and close on September 16th. (Please pray that KC sells!!)
We were pretty sold on staying in the apartment until the KC house sells but then our dream home opened up.... a dream home that BOTH Rob and I fell in love with! It is located in the neighborhood that I desperately wanted to find a house in, in the cul-de-sac that a couple months back that I told Rob I wanted to live on. It was built in 1997 and according to Rob it looks like it was decorated in the early 1990's (he's right!!!!)
We were having a hard time finding a good backyard that we liked and this on ROCKS!!! It has huge trees (for this area) and faces East and the patio and deck feel AMAZING at night in the shade. I can just imagine us hanging out there :) It is a 5 bedroom, 3 bath house with a HUGE basement. It has a 3 car garage and Rob for the first time in his life will now be able to park in a garage!!!!!! The kitchen has amazing potential once the 1990's wallpaper gets removed. It is huge with awesome appliances, counter space, eating bar, eating area and the hearth area I love!
I am already dreaming awesome dreams about the house once we open many cans of paint, replace many light fixtures and take down the old drapes :)
