Wagon
Today while mommy, Kate and I were hanging out at Grama's we decided to go on a walk! Since monmmy forgot the stroller we got to ride in a BIG GIRL wagon! OH it was SO much fun! Cousin Kate let me borrow one of her sun hats and I did EXACTLY what she did- HOLD ON TIGHT to the sides of the wagon! On our walk we stopped to take pictures by the flowers.... I LOVED the mulch, grass and dirt so much that mommy could barely get a picture of me not trying to eat it :) I can't wait to go on another walk in the wagon :)

tickie tickie
I LOVE head scrathes. I LOVE massages. I laugh hard when people squeeze my belly, thighs and upper arms. I am extremely ticklish under my armpits and laugh SO hard!!! But what I like best, what I really LOVE, is getting my face tickied. Grama used to do this to mommy and she said she loved it too! I like it so much that twice last week I feel asleep to tickie tickie on my face; once with Grama and once with mommy. I just LOVE tickie tickie!

Allergic!
I finished my pink medicine (mommy calls it amoxicillian) last Friday. Well..... starting last Tuesday night I was getting rashes/hives that would appear, disappear and then reappear again behind my ears when mommy would feed me- she thought they were there because of my ear rubbing my neck..... BUT then on Thursday I was getting rashes behind my knee, on my arms and my neck too! Come Friday, they were on my belly. And come last night almost ALL my body was covered in them (mommy says around 1/4 of my body including my ENTIRE bottom!). The rashes REALLY like the area of my body that is warm and they appear there!! They don't itch or anything and I am in a great mood, but mommy and daddy took me to the doctor this morning to get them checked out!
Well it turns out that I might like the way the pink stuff tastes, but my body doesn't like the pink stuff in it. They think I am ALLERGIC to it because I have hives!!!!! I guess my Uncle Tom is allergic to the pink stuff too- maybe I inherited that from him! They also think I may be allergic to sweet potatoes (highly unlikely they say) so I don't get to eat them or any other new food for a week or so until the hives stop........ BUMMER- I was SO excited to try carrots and apples this week :(
I am also being put on really good lotion because I have sensitive skin patches all over my body as well.... I sure hope it smells as good as my Baby Magic!
I can't wait for my skin to feel better :)
Oh and did I mention in an early post that the pink stuff gave me a bad diaper rash and I had to be put on a special diaper cream for that? Maybe it's a good thing that I can't have the pink stuff anymore!

Barney
HOLY PURPLE!!!
Nevermind how much I loved watching the Olympics or March Madness.... this purple dinasaur is AMAZING!!!
Since Grama has been watching me a lot when mommy is at work, I have been able to watch Barney with my cousin Kate during lunch time and OH MY GOSH do I love him just as much as Kate does!!!
Grama thinks it so funny because she puts me in the bouncer to watch him and unlike any of her grandchildren, I do not lay back and relax in the bouncer like you are supposed to do.... I pull myself up to sit up in it! OH, I just LOVE when we get to watch Barney!
I beat Elmo is just as cool... I wonder when I can watch him???

The magical sleeping vegetable?????
I know that beans are the magical fruit..... but are sweet potatoes the magical sleeping vegetable?!?!?!?
Last night we tried sweet potatoes for the first time for dinner and believe it or not, the little girl slept 11 hours and only woke up once at 3 am for 10 minutes to have a little snack.
This is one happy and well slept momma today!

Jenny vs. Virus
JENNY VS. VIRUS!!!
Ding Ding!!!!
This morning I opened my work email to see that I had sent myself an email last night at 11 pm with the subject heading: anna-marie giori. Within that email I saw that I had sent it to 13 others..... 13 other people that I haven't talked to in YEARS!!! Freaking out that it was sent to everyone in my contact list (which would be everyone I have ever emailed since I was 14 and opened my account) I opened my personal e-mail to see that I had 20 sent emails, with subject lines like anna-marie giori and other first and last name combinoations, and each email was sent to 13 contacts.... that's like over 250 people!
So, after spending the last 2 hours of my morning cleaning out my contact list to include only friends and family that I currently email, changing my email password and the passwords other websites that store personal information and consulting the help from a classfull of 8th graders, I feel a little better about the virus and I think I may have defeated it!
A lot of my students had heard of the Facebook virus (I assume that is what I got) and some said close your account, while most said just change your password. I can't imagine not being JENNY1521.... that name is part of me! It's like my cell phone number that I have had since I turned 16..... Just some things in life aren't meant to be changed!!!!
So fingers crossed that I have beat this virus!

My 6th Month Birthday
Yesterday was my 6 month birthday and boy did we have fun!
Mommy took off work, because I kept her up all night (I won both the fight and the battle daddy!), so she was home to be with me. We ate bananas for breakfast, played all morning, ran errands, and went on a walk to the park with Daddy and Peanut. I got to wear a ball cap just like daddy and went swinging on the swings. It was so nice outside- by far the warmest it's been since I was born. Then we got home and I took an early evening nap and read lots of books with daddy. I LOVE reading!
Happy 6 months to me!
Enjoy the pictures of my day!

6 month update
What I have been up to this month!
Anna
- On my 6 month birthday I FINALLY figured out how to eat my toes!
- I am babbling recognizable two and three syllable sounds like ah-ah-ah, mama, bababa, muhmuh, duh-duh, dada, ruh-ruh, rah-rah! Daddy said that today I said something that sounded a lot like Anna!
- Sitting up, I can reach out for toys in front of me and basically lay my belly on the floor! I can also reach out to each side to grab toys. I especially like to pull on strings- strings on my mommy's sweatpants, shirts, toys, lamps, ANY strings :)
- I am chewing on EVERYTHING I can get my mouth on!
- I like to look above, and around objects to see people who are hiding from me. I am beginning to play peekaboo on my own!
- I am starting to respond to my name- especially when ELMO says it!
- I can ALMOST roll over from my back to front... I am getting SO close!
- One of my favorite things happens when mommy is doing the dishes and I am sitting in my high chair...... She will turn her back to me and quickly turn her head around to me and say BOO! I laugh EVERYTIME!
- I am beginning to laugh out loud.
- I am super ticklish everywhere! I laugh really hard when my thighs, belly and upperarms are squeezed.
- I lift my arms up for mommy and daddy to pick me up. I also reach for them when I want them!
- My favorite song is Elmo's World. I love it when people sing "lalalala!!"

Spring Break
Mommy had Spring Break last week and she was home to hang out with me EVERY day!
Here are some of the fun things I got to do during that week!
Aunt Laura, Uncle Aaron and Henry babysat me one evening when mommy and daddy went out. I had a lot of fun with them- especially looking out their front window at all the cars driving by- but got really fussy towards the end because I was hungry AND tired!
My buddy Cooper came over and played with me. Like always, we have so much fun together! He kept stealing my toys from me... it was ok because I have lots of different toys to play with. By a mistake he hit me in the face and I started crying.... he felt SO bad that he too started crying! Our mommies just laughed as they made us feel better :)
I got to take a bath in my new "bath tub" my big pink ducky! It is so fun taking baths in him- I love him very much :)
The best thing I did the whole week was hang out with not just daddy, not just mommy but mommy AND daddy! They played with me, walked with me, read to me, brought me to church, gave me baths, fed me and sang to me. We had SO much fun!

One tired Momma
I don't know what's causing it (besides the fact that she's a little baby) but my little girl is not sleeping the best and she has one tired momma! But one thing is for sure...... she has no problem sleeping when I hold her :)
Maybe it's her cold , her ear ache, her diaper rash, a possibly 6 month growth spurt, not having me home during the day or maybe it's the fact that she is becoming more social and knows that we are in the same room (I need the weather to get warm so she can sleep in her own room!!!) but GOD PLEASE do not be because she has grown accustomed to me baby-ing her through her cold the past 2 weeks. She was such a great sleeper up until she turned 4 months old, and even up to when she get her cold 2 weeks ago, but it just seems like she is sleeping less and less (even though with her naps, she is getting around 14 hours of sleep a day which is perfectly fine for 6 month olds!) We have tried feeding her cereal and real food- she is even eating breakfast AND dinner now!
Maybe it's the fact that I am back to work that I am so tired. Yesterday I had to have a sub come in for me because I couldn't deal with 8th graders on 5 hours of sleep...... 16 days down.... 29 to go!
Ugh! She sure did spoil us during her first 4 months of sleeping :) Pacifier, get ready- we are going to try you once again!!!
Any suggestions????
Much Love and ZZZZ's,
Jenny

pink stuff...
Well the pink stuff (amoxicillian for my ear ache) has given me a sore bottom and now I need special butt paste 4 times a day. My bottom has made me a little more fussy and has made sleeping a little more less comfortable. I just want to feel 100% again!

Excited!!!
I've added another trick to my bag! Not only do I cough a "Bad Cough" to get others attention, I also make the funniest face when I get REALLY excited! Mommy and Daddy call it my Stevie Wonder; Grama calls it my EXCITED face!!! I open my mouth REALLY big, squint my eyes and shake my head left to right. Everyone always laughs at me when I am excited! :)

March Madness
Oh My GOODNESS!!! I Love March Madness! Mommy, Daddy and I had so much fun watching the first weekend of games..... WAY TOO BAD that my two favorite teams lost in the second round. I thought that since KU was both regular season champions ANd BIG 12 tournament champions that they would last a whole lot longer then they did- I was wrong and so was President Obama!
Rock Chalk and MIZ-ZOU!
What an exhausting way to spend a weekend!!
Wave the Wheat!
A LOT of the games were nail biters!!!!
And for next week.... SICK EM BEARS!

First Day of Spring
Are you kidding me?????? MORE snow?!?!?! This winter has been a very snowy winter :) Anna isn't going to know what hit her when Summer comes!
And with the first day of Spring comes my ending to Spring Break. Yep- Spring Break!
For those of you who don't know, I started a 8 week long term sub job at my old school in my old classroom for a woman on maternity leave 3 1/2 weeks ago. I am counting down the days... literally... until it is done so I can spend the days once again with my baby girl. Not that it's horrible, but I'd rather be with her- can you blame me.... look at her!!!! We have been really lucky with day care and Anna has been spending most days with Daddy (unless he is studying or doing job search), some at Grama Fimmen's and Kate and others with Grammy and Henry. Since the day care situation is MORE than ideal, it made accepting the sub job much more easy- plus the fact that my plan period is at the end of the day and if I am planned and ready for the next day I leave by 1:30... now THAT'S a deal! Who-hoooo!
Back to Spring Break..... At first we were supposed to head down to Dallas with my parents to see Tom, Carolyn and the kids but Little Tom got sick and we decided not to go and rescheduled for the next weekend. And guess what happened.... Anna got sick! So, after packing our car not once, but twice, dropping peanut off at Grama's (he stayed there 3 days even with us staying in town- thanks mom!), and picking up ear infection medicine we had a stay-cation here in KC. After a dinner at McCormick and Schmidts to celebrate our engagement 2 years ago, enjoying March Madness (Rock Chalk!), major coupon shopping, relaxing without Peanut barking at the air, a trip to the Nelson Art Gallery, seeing some old friends, baking some chocolate chip cookies, dinners at both parents houses and a trip to a nature center (I realized during this trip that nature centers to me are equivalent to how Rob views shopping at a mall at Christmas time... pretty darn horrible!!!), we had a good time and realized that our lives with children will never be the same :)
Anna is growing up to be such a big girl- she turned 6 months on Tuesday! I can't believe that 6 months ago I was in the hospital giving birth.... it's amazing how much you forget in such a short time about the whole birthing process.... amazing! And I still can't believe how happy her little smile makes us!
I wanted to do a blog update because it's been a while...... Rock Chalk!
